Before heading to the 2017 UCA College National Championship, Arkansas State Cheerleaders Collin Weatherly and Kelsie Roland experienced an unforgettable send off performance…THEIR ENGAGEMENT!

Collin had been planning this romantic proposal with the help of his mom since November; a proposal performance complete with his squad, a live audience and the mascot! What else could a cheerleader ask for? It was time to perform the routine, but when the wrong song came on and two lines were being formed, Kelsie joined in with the team and started clapping to the beat thinking that she just missed the memo on what was going to happen next. Before she knew it, her boyfriend of three years was getting down on one knee to ask her to marry him!



Kelsie told us more about how she felt in the moment.

I figured out what was happening when Collin took the microphone but I tried not to freak out because I wanted to be positive. When he turned to look for me and picked up the prop, I knew. It was the happiest moment of my life!

Cheerleading brought Collin and Kelsie together 10 years ago. Their relationship started as teammates and close friends. They started dating shortly after attending junior prom together and have been together ever since!
