With so many competitive gym options, some athletes travel for hours to attend practice, so it's always refreshing to hear about athletes who are committed to their programs year after year.

Team loyalty and dedication are major keys to building winning traditions. Below, Stars Vipers athletes Paige Long, 16, Josephine Ross, 14, and Camryn Rios, 17, talk about their gym and what makes their teams successful.

Camryn, you've been cheering with Stars for 13 years. Why have the Vipers been so successful?

The coaching staff is one of the best in the world and their connection with us is the reason we have had so much success. If they weren't so passionate about their job, cheer wouldn't fire us up as much as it does. Also, the family-like atmosphere helps teams connect with each other and the vibe when we practice is INSANE. It doesn't matter whether you're a level 1 or a level 5, we are all cheering for each other the entire practice and during conditioning.

You've been cheering half your life Josephine, and you're only 14. It must take a special program to keep you motivated and fired up. What's practice like?

The first 30 minutes of practice is usually stretching and drills to help us improve our skills. Next we work on our elite stunts. To help encourage each other we will have one stunt group go at a time and everyone else is counting and cheering each other on. As we get closer to the competition season we will start doing full outs for about half the practice. When we are do full outs typically another team will watch us and then we watch them. I really like this because its like competition and it pushes us to do our best...you want to be the team that hits all the time.

As Stars Vipers veterans, what do you love most about your gym?

Paige: What I love most about Stars Vipers is the positivity, hard work, and dedication from everyone.

Josephine: At Stars everyone is like a big family. There is so much support across all of the teams. It's a positive place to be where you are pushed to do your best all the time!

Camryn: I love the humility of every athlete that cheers with us. They might do their own thing outside of the gym like modeling or "being an ambassador of a product" but they never act like that is the reason they are a good cheerleader. We all know what hard work feels like and how it has created all of the titles in our gym.
