From Practice To Paradise: How To Plan The Perfect Coach Retreat!
Coaching is unlike any other profession. There's so much passion, heart and competition involved that it can cause burn out in even the best coaches. For a team to be great, the leadership team must work well together and be cohesive. Coaches retreats are a fun way to relax after a long season and get your coaching staff back on track for a fun filled and successful year!

Whether you're taking the staff to Mexico, or just out for a fun time on the town, a coach retreat is a must.

Staff Trip

Summer is the perfect time to go on a staff trip. Give the gym a break for a week and take you staff on a vacation or just rent a van and take your coaches somewhere a few hours away. Whether it's a beach weekend, lake visit or a BBQ your coaches will appreciate the much needed R & R. Use the travel time to make plans, set goals and get your calendar planned for the upcoming season.

Team Building Tests & Games

If you can hire a team building specialist to come in and work with your staff, everyone can learn a lot about their own personalities and how to best interact with one another. Escape Room's are a fun bonding experience for any team!

Coaches Conference

A coaches conference serves so many purposes. So many new ideas and coaching techniques can be learned and your staff can also enjoy some social time together while learning. This gives them the opportunity to brainstorm, plan for the season and share ideas over a nice dinner. Seeing other coaching professionals in the field will reignite their passion for cheer & dance!

Video Viewing Party

Organize a fun night at one of the coach's homes to watch cheerleading videos and brainstorm. Have each coach arrive with a list of five routines they want to watch and what they like and don't like about the routines. Jot down notes and set goals for your teams during this viewing party.

Staff + Family Outing

Coaches need their families to be on board with their job. They spend a lot of time with their co-workers and it's important that the spouses or significant others feel comfortable with the people their loved ones are spending so much time with. Organize a family picnic, a bowling outing or a pool party for your coaches and their families so everyone is supportive of the work the coaches are putting in.

Coach's Social Outing

Keep your staff loyal and their camaraderie with each other positive by creating memories. Take them to a painting place, to play miniature golf or a nearby waterpark. If they have fun together socially they will be more likely to work well together in the workplace.
