I was scrolling though social media a few weeks ago, and, of course, a cheer video caught my eye. It looked like an after-hours stunt session between a coach and athlete…and was really fun to watch (not to mention it had over 150K views). The duo reminded me of the long hours coaches and athletes log during comp season, and I just had to watch what they'd put together.

The top girl exuded confidence, and you could tell by her determined expression that she was there to work. Performed with such precision, you'd think they'd been at it for weeks; when in reality they'd only spent about 30 minutes on this particular sequence. The choreography and transitions that were added into the stunts were really unique -- new trends to look for in 2017 routines? 


Tyler James Amadon is a coach at East Celebrity Elite in Massachusetts. He's been a cheerleader at heart for over a decade and continues to push the limits of his creativity and his cheerleaders' abilities every day. 

His partner in this video is 13-year-old Olivia Bolinsky. She cheers on ECE's Small Junior Coed 5, Jwow, and ECE Medium Senior All Girl Level 5,  Bombshells.

Tyler tells us about Olivia's training:

Olivia is an extremely dedicated athlete; one that every coach dreams to train. She practices countless hours in and out of the gym. She learned the stunt in the video in about half an hour private lesson. My stunt privates include extremely tough conditioning and stretching, followed by 15 minutes on dismounts and baskets. At the end of the lesson they're are taught a new, creative stunt.
 
We have no doubt that we'll be seeing Olivia and Tyler at high-profile competitions this year, such as the Cheer Alliance and NCA Nationals in Dallas. We'll be cheering you on, so keep up the good work you two!
