The 2016 Cheerleading Worlds was the first year for the International Open Small Coed L6 division and GymTyme Allstars Jade was crowned its first ever champion. Although the division is only in its second year, it still makes it to the top of the watch list with college-level athletes performing some of the most elite skills at The Cheerleading World Championship.

If you missed out on all the action in 2016, check out GymTyme Jade's winning routine bellow!

GymTyme Jade made a name for themselves in 2016 and is the team to beat in 2017. At CHEERSPORT Nationals, Jade topped the division with a score of 92.37 over the University of Arkansas Monticello who earned an 82.48.

Jade did not compete at NCA All-Star Nationals but a whole new batch of elite competitors hit the mat in Dallas, TX. Coalition 6, a new squad from Cheer Athletics, absolutely rocked the stage and was an overwhelming crowd favorite at the competition. Coalition 6 took home a set of black jackets and the championship title followed by Tribe Cheer Tomahawks in second that wowed the Arena with their dynamic pyramids. Top Gun All Stars SIC 6 was another top contender at NCA All-Star and held their spot in the winner's circle with a third-place finish.

SIC 6 continued to improve as the season progressed and moved to the top spot at the UCA International All Star Championship over the second-place squad, Tigers Athletics Legacy from Canada, and the third-place team from Finland, HAC Elephants.

To max out your squad's score in this division you must push your skills to the limit including flipping baskets and two and a half high pyramids. Will GymTyme wow the judges again in 2017 and remain on top in this division? Or will another talented team climb their way to the top?
