"The seniors on the team made everything possible, and to see many of them move on to the next phase of life is very special," explained coach Peter Lezin. "Our dinner the night they got the rings was very evident of that. We really did not spend much time talking about past as we did talking to everyone about the future."

Brandon Senior Black was coached by Peter Lezin, Kyle Armstrong, Joslynne Harrod.

Congratulations to the Small Senior Coed World Champs, Brandon Senior Black!

With the win in 2017, BSB now has four world championship titles including 2009, 2011, and 2016. Brandon All Stars was started in 1995 and Senior Black was created 10 years later in 2005 in a different division. When Small Coed was introduced, Brandon Senior Black made the switch into the new division and have been creating their legacy ever since.

It is our hope that the 2016-17 team laid a very solid foundation for the 2017-18 team. We know we have to step up our game in all areas of the routine so this team is for sure ready for it. At this point our focus is getting our routine ready for our showcase and then take each performance one competition at a time.
BSB's road to their fourth world championship title was filled with adversity.

"We ended up having to change our team size which led to a few different versions of our routine," Lezin said. "This team sacrificed many weekends [for] extended practices to make sure they could adjust to so many changes."

Brandon Senior Black's ring ceremony and team dinner was a "final farewell" to the 2016-17 team, but not to the athletes. Brandon All-Stars alumni make it a point to stop by when they are home from college or be in the gym if they live local.
