Globe Winners Of The Most Anticipated Match Up: Medium Senior Coed

Senior Medium Coed was the biggest toss-up division going into Worlds 2018. It was truly unpredictable because of how many talented teams earned a bid in this division. So many finalists in this division hit zero-deduction routines on Finals and showed everyone why this was the hardest division to foretell.

The most interesting part of this stacked division is that Worlds is the only time that every single one of the top 10 teams competed against each other all season long. This division is filled with teams scattered across the country who don't compete against each other very often.

The California All Stars Black Ops had a season filled with ups and downs. The reigning world champions didn't put their best performance on the mat at NCA in February, but that was the motivation that they needed to put nothing less than perfection out on the Worlds mat. As they prepared for Worlds, they stepped up their game, made upgrades, and polished their execution.

The end result was worth it. Black Ops won their third world championship title and went back-to-back for the first time! They sat in second going into Finals but after putting on the performance of a lifetime in Finals, they brought the gold back to California.

Spirit of Texas Royalty was one of the strongest teams in this division all season.  After they conquered CHEERSPORT in February, they went on to win NCA the following weekend.

Royalty is a team recognized for their ability to perform. They make everything look easy because they are such talented performers. Royalty won Worlds in 2016 and then didn't globe in 2017. They showed everyone that they were not satisfied with last year's outcome and did an impressive job of making their way back onto the podium.

Woodlands Elite Black Ops earned their first globe in the Senior Medium Coed division. The bronze medalist had one of their most successful seasons this past year.

Black Ops had a successful start to the season by being the highest scoring Senior Medium Coed team at Cheer Alliance in December. They continued to grow as the season continued on and they showed everyone that they are a top contender in this competitive division.
