The events of the last week have been tremendously painful to us all.

The cheerleading world has seen so many different hairstyles over the years, from ringlet ponytails to the infamous poofs and even the half up half down look that guaranteed to leave you with a few missing hairs at the end of your routine! 

The Queen Is Back. 

Batman and Robin, Woody and Buzz, Beyoncé and Jay Z. It’s been proven that when two incredible talents join forces, they become unstoppable. 

Inspired by their incredibly talented daughters and cheerleading superstars, Angel and Marci, Dr. Sharita Mathis-Lawson and Tonya Rice decided to create a stage for black athletes to have a voice within the cheerleading community and to increase participation of minorities in the sport.

Navarro College's Brice Thomas might be a freshman, but he's a seasoned champ when it comes to competitive cheerleading. Having already cheered at both a winning high school and a prestigious all-star gym, Brice is destined for greatness during his years cheering on the Bulldogs. We asked him where he's been, what he's been up to, and where he's headed.

Trinity Valley Community College's Jonathan Jackson is passionate and dedicated to cheerleading and to his winning program. Always pushing to become a better student, athlete, and person, Jackson is sure to accomplish anything he puts his mind to. We asked him where he's been, what he's been up to, and where he's headed.

The University of Alabama's Jaylan Davis is a champion cheering on champions from the sideline. With a strong passion for his school and his squad, Davis is sure to accomplish great things in the cheer world. We asked him where he's been, what he's been up to, and where he's headed. Jay Hollman is a pretty big deal in the cheerleading world, and his skills and accolades can back that up. The University of Central Florida cheerleader has been tumbling since he was 4 years old, and he is headed down the road to greatness.
