Morehead State Cheer: Before The Banners
Before all the banners, before all the titles, there was just the cheerleaders who were passionate about their school and their training. Then brick by brick, and title by title; the Morehead State Cheerleading Dynasty was born.

The Morehead Cheerleading Bid Tape from the 2000-01 season was dug up and posted to Facebook by @stuntvids.

Check out the throwback uniforms!

The pleated skirts aren't the only thing showing the age of this viral video, can you guess what's missing from the Morehead Cheer Room? The 41 Championship Banners!

"We all know and say that when you're on a team you're a part of something greater than yourself, but to see those banners hang there as a physical, tangible representation of that is really special." explained 2002-2005 Morehead State Cheer Alumni Norris Domingue.

It's like each banner is a brick in the foundation of our tradition.

Fun Fact: The MSU Cheer program only had 13 titles before this bid tape video was created!

"When you're practicing in that room, all year you look up and think about those people and the teams that came before you and how much you want to add your own piece to that legacy and that's what drives you at Morehead." said Domingue.

Coming back as an alum and seeing what's been added to what you've helped build is truly humbling and remarkable.
