A Division To Keep An Eye On: L6 Senior XSmall Coed

In 2018, the USASF introduced a set of new divisions and nobody knew what to expect when they made their debut at The Cheerleading Worlds. There was no reigning champ or front-runner or top team. The playing field was level and it was anyone’s game as teams competed to claim the first-ever Senior XSmall Coed World Championship title.

The division quickly became a fan favorite as it featured teams with up to 16 athletes on the mat at a time including 1-2 males.

University Cheer Force Firestorm made history in 2018 as the West Coast team was crowned the first-ever Senior XSmall Coed World Champions.

Since that inaugural year, teams have been bringing their A-game in hopes of taking home a world championship title with only one team to ever win gold in the division twice.

In 2019 and 2021, Gymtyme Illinois Fever went back-to-back as the L6 Senior XSmall Coed World Champions.

In 2022, the phrase "anything can happen in Finals" was proven true as Central Jersey All Stars Team Gunz came out of Semi-Finals at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 in 4th place with a 127.75. The Northeast team hit a beautifully executed zero-deduction routine in Finals to climb their way to the top and claim their first-ever World Championship title!

This April, another reigning 2022 World Champion will be joining in on the L6 Senior XSmall Coed fun at The Cheerleading Worlds.

CheerVille Athletics HV Anarchy made history last season winning their gym's first-ever world championship title in the L6 Limited XSmall Coed division. The Limited Divisions were added to the division lineup last season and were reserved for programs represented by only one team at The Cheerleading Worlds.

This year, CheerVille will be represented by three teams at The Cheerleading Worlds 2023, moving Anarchy out of Limited and into the L6 Senior XSmall Coed division. Anarchy has been a team to watch this season after claiming second place at The MAJORS and taking home the championship title at both the 2023 NCA All-Star National Championship and the One Up Grand Nationals. Do they have what it takes to win the gold for the second year in a row?

Currently, more than 30 teams have earned a bid to compete in the L6 Senior XSmall Coed division at The Cheerleading Worlds 2023. Who will top the podium this April? Find out LIVE on FloCheer!
