What does it mean to hit zero in cheerleading? Well some teams at Cheerleading Worlds this weekend can explain it after doing it on Day 2.

Sometimes zero can mean a lot. And in the sport of cheerleading, zero is the magic number teams want to have. 

In the sport of cheerleading "to hit zero" means a team had no mistakes in their routine, almost akin to a perfect game in baseball. 

And when a cheer competition hosts the best teams in the world, like The Cheerleading Worlds at Walt Disney World Resort, there were quite a few teams that "hit zero" on the second day of the competition.  

But hitting zero in cheer does not mean you've finished with the highest score, nor does it mean that the team is guaranteed to advance to the next round of a competition.
