The Story of AZ ACES:

"AZ ACES was co-founded by Alanah Kaiser and Brittney Bennett, ACES Head Coaches, and Dana Giordano, owner of DANZ Team Project. We wanted to create more opportunities for high school and college athletes in the dance team space and introduce all-star dance to Arizona.

Alanah and Brittney both began as competitive studio dancers before joining the ASU Dance Team for 4 years, where both served in Captain roles during their tenure. In 2013, they co-choreographed the routine that earned ASU 2nd place in D1A Jazz at UDA College Nationals and later secured a Gold Medal with Team USA at the ICU World Championship.

Together they co-founded AB Choreo, creating award-winning routines for powerhouse programs such as NDA D1A National Champions Boise State, University of Oklahoma, and NDA D2 Champions Davenport University. They travel the country teaching master classes and are also core faculty for DANZ Team Project.

Dana has built an extensive career in dance as a former LA Laker Girl and Director of the San Diego Charger Girls. She later became Pro-Dance Team Coordinator for e2k, overseeing multiple NFL and NBA dance teams. Dana co-created Co. Dance for Varsity where she led national dance conventions & competitions with a renowned faculty for 15+ years. She started DANZ Team Project in 2019 to bridge the gap for dancers training for collegiate & high school dance teams.

During Covid, we took the leap and recruited 12 dancers and competed one routine that took Bronze at the 2021 Dance Worlds. We have continued to push forward each year to grow the program, create more opportunities for our dancers, and educate ourselves about the world of all-star dance. We are heading into our 6th season with 70 ACES!!

We are the first elite All-Star Dance program in Arizona and the first from our state to attend The Dance Worlds and be awarded a World Championship medal. Currently 39 ACES alums have been recruited and/or selected to competitive D1A college dance team programs, which is an accomplishment we are very proud of!"

What Makes AZ ACES Special:

"What makes this program special is what we have been able to accomplish as a non-traditional all-star dance program. Our dancers come from all over the Valley and most are on competitive high school teams or are college students so we cannot operate on a regular studio schedule. Due to our limited time together, practices and training are once a week and we attend a limited number of bid events that don't start until February. We credit our amazing coaches, athletes, and alums for getting us where we are today!"
