The Story of Dance Athletics Plano: 

"Our owners are the iconic three amigos - Angela, Brad, and Jody! We are actually a part of Cheer Athletics Plano and practice in the same building as all of the cheer teams. Our journey began just 2.5 years ago with 9 athletes and 3 teams. None of the athletes had ever danced All Star, and none of the coaches came from an All Star background, but with the help of our owners and fellow cheer coaches at CA Plano and DA Denver, we were able to make it happen.

At the start of our second season, we decided to take the leap and try for Worlds Bids, not knowing what to expect or if we would even earn any. The talent and caliber of the teams at Worlds is truly mind blowing, and we were so grateful and honored to dance alongside some of the best that we had ever seen. Earning the title of Bronze Champions in the Senior Kick division at the Dance Worlds was a goal of ours, and our kids worked to earn and achieve that goal. It was one of the most fulfilling and proud moments our program has ever had.

Although the trophy and the title is amazing, the most important thing was the sense of family and pride that the kids had in their hearts as they walked off the stage. Since Worlds, the growth and love that we have experienced and received has been overwhelming in the best way.

Now, we are heading in to our third and biggest season yet with 40 athletes, 11 teams, and 6 amazing coaches. Of those 40 athletes, only 8 of them have danced All Star. This year is a new and exciting journey for most of our kids and families, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them this season."

What Makes Dance Athletics Plano Special: 

"Since this is a new program, I think it is really special that our athletes have been such an integral part in building our foundation, culture, and legacy. They have really established a standard of kindness and friendship. Our slogan “you belong here” is evident from the second you walk in the door. Whether you are wanting to take a ballet class or compete on multiple worlds teams, you matter. That is something that we take a lot of pride in."
