The Story of Florida Twisters: 

Our program started in 2019 in a church back room. The program was started by an athlete turned coach who decided that he wanted to give every little girl the opportunity to experience the all star cheer world. Russell and his family (The Roberts Family) built this program from originally just seven athletes, to now over 125 athletes in just eight seasons. Our program has won national titles from Florida all the way to Las Vegas and was recently a part of the few gyms that were crowned Triple Crown Champions last season. This is a faith-based organization that focuses on building not only remarkable athletes, but respectful and intelligent young women. We have monthly Reign Girl Honor Club celebrations where the girls are recognized for their hard work in the classroom in addition to on the mat. We also make it a point to teach life lessons through team bonding experiences and little sister/big sister programs in the gym. I, for one, saw a complete change in my own athlete when we joined five seasons ago. We knew from the very first interaction that it would be more than a cheer gym, this would be a home for her. Five seasons later, I can say it’s been exactly that! The humility, resilience, confidence, strength, and wisdom that they give these girls is unheard of. Florida Twisters is truly a special place.

A fun fact about Florida Twisters is that each owner has either been an athlete or coach at one point in their lives, and now the journey is starting to come full circle as they are coaching their former athletes’ & teammates’ children.

What Makes The Program Special:

What makes Florida Twisters Cheer Company special is our culture. The gym is truly a place where each girl can be exactly who they are with no restraints. We are proud of all of the growth in every single athlete, and love watching the coaches' vision come to life each & every season. Our biggest goal for the upcoming season is to continue watching the girls shine on the mats they only dreamed of getting to compete on. We can't wait to watch them work hard to continue to reach their goals.
