The Story of Summit Athletix:

Summit Athletix grew from a lifelong love of coaching, years of business leadership, and a belief that sports can prepare kids for far more than competition. Our owner, Lacy, grew up as a competitive gymnast and cheerleader and began coaching at 16. After stepping away to raise her family, she returned to coaching when her daughter entered competitive cheerleading. At the same time, Lacy and her husband were raising their children while also managing their 2nd generation family construction business. That experience helped shape the way Summit operates today—with intentional procedures, clear standards, strong systems, and a commitment to excellence.

Summit was never created simply to teach cheerleading and tumbling. It was built to help young people develop PERSEVERANCE, dedication, responsibility, PURPOSE, and faith. That belief became our mission: Training Athletes for the Journey of Life. We want athletes to grow in their sport, but even more importantly, we want them to learn how to work toward a goal with PASSION, push through challenges, support others, and become strong, resilient people.

From the beginning, ownership had a clear vision for Summit’s culture, but our athletes, coaches, and families are the ones who brought that vision to life. In 2 short years, they have created a genuine community of love, encouragement, support, and faith in Jesus. We see it in the way athletes celebrate one another, families show up for kids who are not their own, and coaches invest in athletes beyond their skills.

We have the acronym AFHG (All For His Glory) on the back of our uniforms. We strive to live that out in our gym and to share Jesus at every competition

Fun Facts about Summit Athletix:

  • We are faith based.
  • Our team names are all P words that are based from our core values (Passion, Perseverance, Purpose)
  • We finished year 2 with 128 all star cheer athletes and 180 tumbling athletes.
  • We have an extensive tumbling curriculum that was written in house. All our tumbling classes are taught by coaches that are well trained with Summit Tumbling Curriculum.
  • At the beginning of our first season, we shared gym space with a Club volleyball gym!
  • We are planning to compete internationally in 2027.

Special Wins & Accomplishments:

  • All our elite teams received At Large Summit bids at their very first competition as a gym.
  • Our Junior 2 team placed 9th at D2 Summit in 2025 and 2026.
  • We competed at the Junior Olympics in 2025 and took the Bronze in the Junior 3 division.
  • We have numerous Grand National titles for our first 2 years and have competed at Summit with all our elite teams both years.
  • Our biggest accomplishment is growing our athletes in character. Watching them pray with other teams at competitions, and support other teams and athletes is the best accomplishment I could ever ask for.

What Makes The Program Special:

Our culture. We strive to share Jesus and build these kids into amazing humans. We hold kids and families to standards to provide a fair environment for everyone.

-Lacy Emmert, Owner of Summit Athletix

What Are You Most Proud Of:

Our Culture! Our culture is centered on sharing Jesus and helping kids grow into strong, confident, compassionate people. We believe that clear standards and accountability for both athletes and families create a fair, consistent environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow and succeed.

-Lacy Emmert, Owner of Summit Athletix

What Is Your Biggest Goal This Season:

We are looking for a top three D2 or Small Gym Summit finish with our full year elite teams & to take a team to compete internationally in May 2027. We believe this will open doors and opportunities for our kids!
