The Story of PowerWorx Dance: 

"PowerWorx Dance started in 2016 with the goal of giving dancers a place where they could really grow, not just as dancers, but as athletes and as people. Over the years, we've grown quite a bit, but that part of our identity hasn't changed.

One of the things that makes PowerWorx unique is that we really do offer dancers the best of both worlds. We compete in traditional concert/competitive dance as well as USASF All Star Dance, so our dancers get exposure to different styles and competitive environments. They also get the experience of training with the precision, athleticism, and team mentality that you see in collegiate dance.

We've been fortunate to have some pretty incredible opportunities along the way, including competing at The Dance Worlds. But honestly, what we're most proud of is the growth we see in our dancers. We want them to leave us as better dancers, but also more confident, resilient, and willing to push themselves.

We're a relatively small program, and we actually think that's one of our strengths. Our dancers know each other, our coaches know our dancers, and everyone has a role on the team.

Jamie Frye Boyle recently took over ownership of PowerWorx in addition to stepping into the role of Director, marking an exciting new chapter for a program she has been deeply involved with for the past decade.

Jamie grew up as a competitive dancer and went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from George Mason University. She has been teaching and choreographing for 20 years and has been one of PowerWorx's primary teachers and choreographers for the past 10 years.

As both an owner and longtime member of the PowerWorx coaching team, Jamie is excited to lead the studio into its next chapter while continuing the competitive legacy that she has helped build over the past decade. Her vision is to continue raising the level of training, expanding opportunities for dancers, and creating a studio culture where dancers feel challenged, supported, connected, and proud to call PowerWorx home.

With Jamie now leading the program, we're excited to build on everything PowerWorx has already accomplished while continuing to evolve and create new opportunities for our dancers."

"What makes PowerWorx special is the combination of high-level training and genuine team culture. We are intentional about creating an environment where dancers are pushed to achieve more while also knowing they are supported, valued, and part of something bigger than themselves.

Honestly, it's the people. Our families are the best, and there is a genuine sense of connection between our dancers, coaches, and families that makes PowerWorx feel like a community.

We're serious about dance. Our dancers work hard, our coaches expect a lot from them, and we absolutely want to be competitive. But we also want our dancers to genuinely enjoy being here and feel like they belong.

We're also a little different because our dancers get to experience both traditional competitive dance and USASF All Star Dance. That gives them a really unique perspective and helps prepare them for the athleticism, precision, and team environment of collegiate dance.

And because we're a smaller program, there's a level of connection here that we're really proud of. Our coaches know the dancers as individuals. We know what they're working toward, what challenges them, and what makes them light up on stage.

The trophies are great. The medals are great. But watching a dancer gain confidence and realize what she's capable of? That's the stuff that really gets us excited."
