Exciting news is coming for the incredible CheerABILITIES & DanceABILITIES community! On October 14, the USASF announced that Exceptional Athletes on U.S. CheerABILITIES and DanceABILITIES teams will be able to officially compete for a Worlds title beginning in April 2027.

Previously, CheerABILITIES and DanceABILITIES teams participated in the Exceptional Athlete International Championship (EAIC). The EAIC was historically held alongside Worlds at the same venues, but remained a separate event.

The USASF says the decision to include CheerABILITIES and DanceABILITIES divisions at Worlds reinforces their commitment to creating a more inclusive All Star experience — one where Exceptional Athletes are recognized as part of the Worlds community.

“Exceptional Athletes have long been part of All Star, and now they will have the same Worlds experience as other All Star athletes.” said Vanessa Vail, chairwoman of the USASF Exceptional Athlete Committee.  “We are proud to take this next step toward a global championship where every athlete has the opportunity to be seen and celebrated for what they bring to our sport.”

Additional details regarding how teams can earn a bid in the Exceptional Athlete Divisions can be found on The Cheerleading Worlds and The Dance Worlds websites.
