Red Fox Natl's & Worlds Bids: Are The Best Teams In The South?
We are just a few days into 2016 and the cheer world is about to get seriously INTENSE. Spirit Brands is hosting their Red Fox National Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, on January 9 &10. With just a few months remaining before Worlds, and a limited numbers of bids available, every competition counts. FloCheer will be livestreaming this Worlds Bid event. Watch the competition from home and again in our archives. See if you have what it takes to pick the best of the best!

A few teams to watch at Red Fox National Championships:

Warriors from Birmingham, Alabama:
The South never disappoints when it comes to cheerleading. The Ace Warriors is a Medium Coed Level 5 that will WOW you for the entire two minutes and 30 seconds. They are coached by the great Happy Hopper, as well as Chris Treherne and Ryan Hicks. This team competed in the Large Coed division at Worlds last year and their finals performance, on the highly desired Wide World of Sports baseball field, was pure entertainment for the diehard cheer fans. The crowd went crazy for this team as they performed their memorable dance section using the Jonas Brothers song, Put Your Pom Poms Down for Me and the golden gimmicky pom poms. This team is known for fast paced pyramid sections, hitting no less than at least three picture perfect structures mixed in with forward, backward, laid out, tucked, sideways and twisting inversions.

Chiefs from Hattiesburg, Mississippi:

Coming from a neighboring state, is the Small Coed Ace Chiefs team coached by Travis Baker and Brandon Roberts. There truly isn’t a more dedicated duo than these two guys. Travis and Brandon treat each athlete like a family member, and it shows in their team’s performance. The squad gives every ounce of their energy and talent to please their coaches, not only at competition, but during practices as well. Their style is clean and precise. Their showcase video, below, reiterates that they are a strong force to be reckoned with. When a team can perform a nearly flawless routine, in the gym, without the adrenaline of an actually competition environment, you better expect them to be on fire when they’re fully dressed out and in competition mode. Small Coed is a cutthroat division and yet the Chiefs serve the coffee with every show.

Lady Warriors from Huntsville, Alabama:

This team’s name is perfect considering they are competing in one of the toughest divisions at Worlds.  The All Girls Level 5 is an extremely competitive division and these Lady Warriors actually received their bid at this Red Fox event last year. Their coach, Ben "Moose" Park, is one of the most talented tumbling coaches on the planet according to many. Kids travel from all over the country to work out with “Moose”.

Bama Allstarz:
This Alabama program is in it’s 18th competitive season and has over 250 athletes from the Birmingham metro area. They pride themselves on their family oriented environment and strong values. Expect to see routines that are crowd pleasing, age appropriate and entertaining from Levels 1 to 5.
