CHEERpros: School Teams You Don't Want To Miss!
CHEERpros dedicates an entire day to their school cheer and song teams and FloCheer will be live streaming those well choreographed routines. In most states, allstar cheer tends to be more exciting than school cheer, but that is not necessarily the case in the state of California. Legendary California school programs made an early impact on the world of allstar cheerleading. Their innovative choreography set the trends. Teams around the world have attempted to replicate their unique routine flare. A few of the cheer and song teams to watch this weekend are listed below.

SMCHS:
Santa Margarita Catholic High School was coached for 23 years by Dana Maas, who is now the chief marketing director for CHEERpros. These cheer and songs teams are always talented and fun to watch. Presently Tiffany Bromm coaches the cheer team and Nicole Cestone coaches the song team. Several kids from this program have applied for the CHEERpros All State Team and Coach Nicole is in the running for the CHEERpros Coach of the Year award. Their Varsity Song Pom and Jazz have won quite a few awards thru the years. A few of their honors are:
  • USA National Champions 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
  • JAMZ Nationals National Champions and Grand Champions 2013, 2014, 2013
  • UDA National Dance Team Championship in Pom, 3rd place

Tahquitz High School:

The audience can expect impressive partner stunting skills from this school cheer team. The kids are young and talented and have learned all they know about cheer skills at this high school from amazing and caring coaches. There are several All State Team hopefuls on this team as well as a past CHEERpros Coach of the Year, Sarah Peterson.

Tesoro High School Cheer and Dance:
This program has strong leadership with both their cheer and their dance coaches up for the CHEERpros Coach of the Year award. The cheer program is led by Cris Stuart and the dance program is led by Danielle Calta. Their Tesoro varsity cheer squad just won Grand Champions out of 52 high schools at Jamz Palms and Pyramids and this past Saturday they beat several great teams at USA Regionals.

The Tesoro Varsity Song/Dance team has a total of 14 members. This year their Pom routine theme is "Pitch Perfect" which of course everyone loves AND the team is undefeated so far this season. This team has been NDA National Champions in both the Team Performance and Jazz divisions for the past two years, which is an amazing accomplishment. In addition, they are well-known at their school for their awesome rally performances.

Los Alamitos:
This program is known for their amazing tradition and talent. They’ve been on the scene for years and have consistently been absolute showstoppers. It will be a tight race between Los Alamitos and El Dorado High School. Los Alamitos is coached by Cheryl Vuong who also has the HSC Allstars which stands for Hawaiian Style Cheer. The audience can expect good stunting and tumbling from this team. Because their coach also owns a gymnastics center, many of the athletes have tumbled together for many years. In addition eight of the Los Alamitos girls on the Varsity squad are former HSC athletes.

Eldorado High School:
This team is known for their amazing talent and usually flawless performances. They are coached by Katie Bowers. The Varsity squad has taken home both first place and grand champions at the state competition for the past three years. They are excited to try for their fourth year in a row.
We're El-dorado and we came to win, we need a backpack to put our white jackets in!
