There will be plenty to watch at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Competition held at the famous AT&T football stadium on January 30. FloCheer is LIVESTREAMING the competition so you can watch it from the comfort of your home! Over 300 teams are competing but there are a few stand out teams and individuals to watch.

Oklahoma Twisters:

Established in 1996 in Chickasha, OK by current allstar director Jeff LeForce, Oklahoma Twisters Competitive Cheerleading has grown year after year from three charter teams to their current program of 14 teams. They have an established a method of creating great athletes and teams. They are very proud to say that their allstar teams get the most out of every practice. Oklahoma Twisters believes that in order to be successful, it isn't always about the hours that you put into practice, but it's more about the effort that you put into each practice.  They have only one (1) two hour team practice each week, which allows their athletes to participate in various activities and sports other than competitive cheerleading. They have had 10 teams compete at THE CHEERLEADING WORLDS which is the highest honor for Level 5 All-Star Cheerleading. They have had three teams compete at The SUMMIT, which is the highest honor for All-Star Cheerleading in Levels 1-4

Jeff LeForce and Craig Hallmark have both been named to the UPA Coaches Hall of Fame for Cheerleading, and have received countless awards within the cheerleading industry. Jeff and Craig have also coached over 30 NCA and UCA Junior High and High School National Champion teams with countless Innovative Choreography Awards and 3 NCA Grand National Champion Teams

Liberty Cheer:

Liberty Cheer All-Stars is in their 10th season and they have more than 275 athletes and 20 teams based in Midlothian, Texas. They take pride in being one of the largest programs in Texas while maintaining a small gym feel. They stress the importance of loyalty, unity, hard work and a relationship with God. "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13 are words they live by.

Liberty Cheer will be bringing all 20 of their teams to compete at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Competition on January 30.  Liberty cheer represented well at the Spirit Celebration Christmas Classic and The Dallas Mavericks competition. They took home first place in the All Star Level 3 Senior Coed at the Christmas Classic even though the day before a tornado hit their hometown of Midlothian Texas. It caused substantial damage to many houses and Liberty Cheer families. The coaching staff emotionally prepared their teams though prayer to perform at their best after sustaining such destruction and heartache. The coaching staff includes owners Lyndsey Rose, Carrie Smith and Ashley Brown and Scott Rosen who you may remember from Bring It On 4, In It To Win It.

Powerhouse Cheer:

Powerhouse Cheer is located in Belton, TX and they are bringing all 11 of their teams to the DCC competition this weekend. They have teams that range through all age and ability levels. Their Show Team has 21 athletes, who are ages 2-7 years old, and their oldest and most advanced team is their Senior Restricted COED level 5 team. They are very proud of ALL of their teams and how they have performed so far this season.

A few of their teams and athletes to watch:

Powerhouse Invincible (Senior COED 4.2) – This is a very talented team who received a Summit Bid at the Cash Bash competition in Galveston. They were only .01 away from winning one of the two PAID Summit Bids at that competition!

Powerhouse Alpha (Senior Restricted COED 5)
– This team has gone through some trials and tribulations over the past few weeks, but they are working hard to pull things together for this weekend. A few athletes to look for on this team are Shakiia Rayson– She has been with Powerhouse for many years. She is the center jumper and one of the most incredible performers you will ever see! Also look out for Callie Shackelford – She has been with Powerhouse since she was on show team and is now center flyer on their highest level team. Although she is fighting a back injury at the moment, she is still a rockstar in the air!

Powerhouse Omega (Senior COED 4) – This team has another one of Powerhouse’s veteran athletes who has been with them for years. Her name is Kaley Zett - She is an amazing performer and lights up the stage in the dance and the center of pyramid.

Powerhouse Witness (Senior 3) – This team has an athlete who just came back from major surgery on her spine! She had scoliosis with a 45-degree curve to her spinal cord. She knew her back was bad, but she didn’t know how bad it really was, and she loved all-star cheer so much that she didn’t want to miss out on a season. She tried out and began the cheer season with her team back in April.  A month or two into practice, she went to the doctor and they told her that she absolutely had no choice – it was surgery or you won’t be able to walk the rest of your life. She went ahead and had the surgery back on August 13th, and when she finished, she doubled her physical therapy and worked her tail off to be back for her team. She was finally able to take the mat with her team two weeks ago at the Cash Bash in Galveston, where they hit their first zero deduction routine. Powerhouse Godspeed (Junior 1) – This is a very consistent team and has won every competition they have attended this year!

Powerhouse Energy (Junior 2) – This team has an athlete who tore major ligaments in her knee at the beginning of the season, before competitions started, and recently had knee surgery. Although the doctors told her that she will NOT be able to compete AT ALL this season, this athlete comes to EVERY PRACTICE to support her team!

Boys on Intensity, Invincible, Omega and Alpha: They have some very talented male athletes on their teams, some who started at ground zero (football players… LOL), and they have developed into strong tumblers, performers, and leaders on their teams.
