Cheerleader Asks Boy with Autism to Prom
Prom is a big deal for almost every high school student. Mikal Bartosik, a 17 year old cheerleader at Park Vista High School in Florida  wanted to make prom extra special for a friend of hers. Mikal, decided to ask Jonathon, a classmate with autism, to go to the prom with her. She walks into a classroom of students  and says to him, “I have a question”. When he asks her what her question is, she opens up a big box to reveal a giant Mrs. Fields cookie with words written in icing.
Will you go to prom with me?
Jonathon’s response has touched the hearts of people around the world. Kudos to Mikal for showing what cheerleaders truly stand for, encouraging people and being a light in the lives of others!
