5 Tips For Flawless Full Outs

Competition season is officially here. Many teams have already gotten out their first-time jitters, and some teams' first performances are quickly approaching. No matter how many times you've run through your routine full out, there are still some mountains you'll need to climb in order to reach your peak performance.

Here are five tips to make full outs feel easier every time.

1.Run the routine piece by piece.

One great way to warm up before running your routine full out is to mark, but pick one section to do each time so you can focus in on perfecting tech and timing. See Kim Possible example below. PERFECTION.

2. Coach knows best

You may not feel like you can do that last jump, but if coach says jumps full out -- you go full out. It may seem impossible at the times, but pushing yourself in practice will help you hit that routine on competition day.

3. Push yourself when you're tired

When you're tired, you're more likely to only give 50 percent. If you practice at 50 percent, that's what you're going to put out on the competition floor. Give it your all at ALL times. Don't settle for less than what you're capable of doing.

4. #SquadGoals

Set a goal each practice for how many full out reps you want to accomplish that day. Goals get you to where you need to be faster and more efficiently. Write them down, hang them in the gym, and make them happen.

5. Keep your eye on the prize

Never forget why you're pushing to run the routine so many times. The end goal of walking off the competition mat feeling accomplished will be worth it in the end. Your hard work will pay off, and you will be proud of what you've done. PUSH!
