What competition draws more spectators than the super bowl, takes up more space than a Mary Kay Convention, and brings in participants from all corners of the globe?

Yep, you guessed it; the NCA All-Star National Championship in Dallas, Texas.

This is the event that teams and coaches start countdowns 365 days out, and plan their weddings around. All star season isn't complete without a visit to cheer country, aka downtown Dallas.


We did some research to find out what's new, what's back in 2017 and what to expect from the famous NCA arena.

The arena stage and production is something everyone talks about…in past years we've seen Star Wars graphics, giant LED boards and even fire atop a giant scaffolding star…What's to come in 2017? Sources say there will be a big stage reveal, and upgrades for all other performance stages at the event.

All captured by the well-known NCA event photography company, Action Moments, the performances will be brought to you in 360 this year with a new photography technique!



For spectators and attendees used to attending the championship, this year you'll notice a little more breathing room. The competition is now four days long, which helps with event traffic, and gives over 200 level 4 teams the opportunity to experience the NCA arena. The event is so BIG that the city of Dallas even sends a city sign filled with spirit to the iconic event. (If you haven't taken a photo in the Dallas BIG sign, you need to add that to your to-do list this year)

As if these juicy deets weren't enough -- the BIG news making waves for those attending the competition Monday night is that The Summit Bid Reveal will be played LIVE in the Arena!

Teams and coaches look forward to this event every year, and for good reason. NCA and Varsity All Star Vice President, Justin Carrier, tells us why.

NCA Nationals is the longest running National Championship in the all star cheerleading world. The tradition and prestige of this event can't be matched. It's a great place to come together and celebrate the best of our sport.
