During competition season, we are so focused on our team and our mission that we tend to forget that there are other people around us. Follow along to get your all star etiquette in check and make sure your team is on their best behavior come performance time.
Most people at Walt Disney World are there for a fun family vacation -- not a cheerleading competition -- so be aware as you head out to the parks this season. Be respectful to everyone whether it's fellow competitors, event/venue staff, or vacationing families.
Do your part to keep every venue clean. Throw paper towels away in the bathroom and clean up trash around you in the stadium. When it's competition weekend, cheerleaders and their families take over the town. You are representing not just your team but the entire cheerleading community; leave a good impression. Always try to leave the venue as clean or cleaner than when you found it.
We are cheerleaders; we are just naturally loud people! This goes for all star and school cheerleaders: when in public areas, avoid blaring your routine music and yelling your cheers at full volume.
Your music shouldn't be so loud that a vacationing family in the room next to you could recite your team's voiceover by the end of the weekend. Keep your voices down in hallways, buses, restaurants, and hotel rooms as to not cause a disturbance.
