Competition season is almost here and all star teams around the world are setting local showcases to perform their hot new routines in front of a crowd for the very first time.

The team here at FloCheer is all set to hit the road to visit some of the biggest and best fall showcases and bring you the best behind-the-scenes coverage of these top athletes before the season begins.

This weekend, we are making the journey to Houston to visit talented athletes at Woodlands Elite!

Woodlands Elite is holding their fall showcase on October 29 at the NRG Arena in Houston.

All four Woodlands Elite locations — Katy, Oak Ridge North, Humble, and Magnolia — will be joining together for the exciting event. Spectators, get ready for fresh choreography and high-flying tricks as this event will be the perfect all star treat just in time for Halloween.

If you are joining us in Houston for the day, doors open to the public at 9:30 AM CT.

Colonels Small Junior Coed 5 will be the first team taking the mat as they kick off show at noon CT. The Colonels placed in the top five at the Summit 2017, so we can't wait to see what they bring to the mat this season.

Stick around as the levels 1-4 teams keep the excitement rolling all afternoon long. This showcase is the first opportunity for Woodlands Elite fans to catch a glimpse of the new choreography, and FloCheer will be front and center to bring you the best coverage of all the action.

At 3:30 PM the showcase kicks into overdrive as the level 5 teams take stage.

Raptors is a must-watch WE team as they take on a new division in the 2017-18 season. The squad is starting the new year in the L5 restricted large senior coed division.

Raptors were a wild card team at the 2017 Summit championship but advanced straight through to finals and went on to conquer the climb as large junior restricted Summit champions.

Generals, G.I. Janes, Recon, and Black Ops are guaranteed to be crowd favorites after their incredible performances at the World Championship. Stay tuned for exclusive interviews on FloCheer where athletes from these top level 5 teams give us the low-down on their season so far.

This summer, many athletes and their families were affected by Hurricane Harvey but all the teams are back ready to give the world a true dose of #HoustonStrong as they take the mat this Sunday in a showcase that is sure to be one for the history books.
