The first look of the season is always telling for teams. It tests their readiness, their mental game, and puts their skills in check before heading into head-on competition. (Not to mention we get to check out teams' new looks).

Champion Cheer All Stars from Southlake, Texas put their athletes to the test as 24 teams showcased their skills and routines for the very first time at their annual Gold Gala; eight of those teams representing the Justin location, who joined the Champion family last year.

One thing that stands out about the gym, other than their top notch cheer skills, are the parents and coaches. The gym aims to teach lessons that last a lifetime, while building a strong community for everyone involved. At the showcase, this was evident.

Pride and support poured from the stands as each team took the mat. Well-known Worlds team, Heat, changed divisions, taking on an even more difficult routine in 2017-18. The program had so many talented level 5 males this year, they knew they needed to seize the opportunity.

Heat showcased a good balance of coed and all girl stunts as they performed their routine for the first time as a level 5 medium coed team. After watching their overall performance, we expect great things this year - pardon the pun, but the HEAT IS ON!

Character, Commitment, and attitude (CCA) - the mantra the program lives by is something you just can't ignore. More highlights to come from the gala, but in the meantime, Follow the CCA teams as they head into the season ready to perform like champions!
