Every year, cheer fans anticipate watching the World Cup Shooting Stars themed routine. This season, the reigning world champs are taking their choreography to the next level with their circus-inspired act.

The Stars' routine is filled with some of the most elite skills that you will see in the large senior division, but it also has elements that really highlight the circus theme. Here are some of the best circus components to look out for in this amazing act.

Opening prop:

The routine opens with strong tumbling while the ringleader stands tall in the back with a lion's whip.

Cannon ball:

The running tumbling section starts off with a countdown and ends with a boom — and a crazy tumbling pass that explodes out of the human-made canon. Be sure to count down with the Stars when you watch them live.

Transitions:

The jump section has out-of-the-box transitions before and after. With a mix of partner cartwheels and other fun movements, you'll get the full circus effect as the team moves across the floor.

Carousel:

One of the most unique parts of the music is right before the pyramid section. As the popular circus-like chime plays, each stunt group circles around one group making movements like a carousel. Prepare to see great body positions from the flyers as this section is happening.

Clown nose:

PROP ALERT! Right before the last structure of the pyramid section begins, you can expect to see a bright red nose from one of the flyers in the center. She ends the pyramid with the nose and keeps in character throughout the entire dance. After all, you can't have a circus without clowns!
