The Cheer Alliance Championship takes place this weekend in Louisville, Kentucky, but before the California All Stars Black Ops hit the road for their first competition, they celebrated their past season of success and their world championship with friends and family.

Cali Black Ops added a little bit of bling to their Thanksgiving celebration this year. In honor of their 2017 world championship title, the athletes celebrated Friendsgiving and held their 2017 worlds ring ceremony.

“It was intimate and beautiful at one of our athlete’s homes in Livermore,” explained head coach Neda Emamjomeh. “We just gathered together, ate, and celebrated their success and love for one another.”

The Friendsgiving was a final farewell to the 2016-17 season and a kickoff to the new year.

“There was lots of laughs, love, and memories shared,” Emamjomeh said. “Mike and I gave a final team talk to our kiddos.”

We let them know how proud of them we are. A reminder to always believe and trust in themselves and always go after their dreams, no matter what.

The win in 2017 makes the second world title for the talented medium coed squad.  They claimed their first gold globe back in 2013.

Not only did this team work their tails off, they were able to bring light to our darkest moments; these kids all have our hearts.

“A majority of this team has been with us for a handful of years and it was their last season with us,” Emamjomeh said. “We are excited to watch them in their next chapters in life and also watch a legacy that they helped create grow.”

As one chapter closes, another one begins, and the Cali Black Ops are ready to continue their legacy of greatness starting December 8 at The Cheer Alliance Championship in Louisville. What can you expect to see on the mat? Nothing less than excellence, according to their proud head coach.

You can expect the same heart, talent, and fire from our 2017-18 season that you have always seen from Cali Black Ops — nothing less than excellence.
