Look Out For The Ladies Of Large Senior

Large Senior is always one of the most unpredictable divisions every single year at The Cheerleading Worlds. Since 2006, only five teams have stood on the podium: Cheer Extreme Senior Elite, Maryland Twister F5, the World Cup Shooting Stars, Cheer Athletics Panthers, and the Stingray All Stars Orange. These five strong teams have become the leaders of the Large Senior division, and they have all proven that they know what it takes to be on top.

In past years, the team that hit has been the team that won. In 2017, no one expected that the Shooting Stars and Panthers would go into finals tied in first place. Only one team could come out on top, and that made Finals even more anticipated than expected.

The World Cup Shooting Stars came out on top in 2017 and earned their fifth World Championship title. 2017 was not their most successful season as a whole, but they peaked at the right time and put on one of the biggest jaw-dropping performances that the HP Field House has ever seen. This season, they've set the bar high with hopes of capturing a back-to-back victory with their entertaining circus-themed routine.

Panthers aren't settling for their second-place finish in 2017. They came into the new season more focused and prepared than ever. Their elite sequence is filled with creative skills that they know how to execute. Panthers came out on top at NCA and have no fears of the rumored "Large Senior curse."

Senior Elite isn't messing around this season. They have a presence about them this season that shows as they confidently perform their skills. They've become an entertaining team to watch because of their performance "wow factor" and their ability to engage with the crowd during any down moments throughout their routine. Cheer Extreme Senior Elite earned the bronze globe in 2017 and have become top contenders to potentially globe again this season.

Don't sleep on F5 this season. The Queens redefined their ability to put on a show with their innovative baseball-themed routine. Maryland Twisters F5 went all-in with their theme from the uniforms to the music and, of course, their choreography. This routine has become one of the most talked-about routines of the season because of the entertainment value and variety of elite tumbling.

The Orange Rays from Marietta, Georgia bring their southern sass to the mat every time they perform. Orange fell short of the podium at Worlds 2017 but have worked harder than ever this season with the hopes of climbing back to the top of the division.

Orange has had a challenging year taking second at CHEERSPORT and UCA All-Star and placing fourth at both The MAJORS and NCA All-Star Nationals.

The team introduced a new look at NCA as they rocked leggings instead of their typical white skirts. Will the new look help bump up the Orange Ray's confidence and give them the boost they need to take back the title in 2018?
