An Inside Look At Top Gun's Marvelous Trip To Camp Geneva

Every Labor Day weekend, Top Gun’s Senior age teams from all five different locations come together for a weekend sleep-away camp.

The camp is filled with all different kinds of team and program bonding activities as well as skills classes, choreography sessions, and some much-needed life lessons.

The annual retreat is held at the ACA Camp & Retreat Center on Lake Geneva in Florida.

Throughout past camps, the teams were each designated to come up with their own cabin theme and decorate their cabin. On the last night, the coaches would go through each while the teams would put on a skit to match their decorated cabin.

In more recent years, TG staff decided to change up this idea and do one overall camp theme, which will then be incorporated into all the weekend activities, bonding exercises, and games that are done at camp.

For the 2018-2019 season, the TG Staff voted on having a Marvel Superhero/ Villain camp theme. Each team will pick their superhero or villain and then create their team cape.

Check out the creative capes the teams designed!

When the teams weren't living out their superhero dreams, they were on the mat perfecting their skills and learning from their talented coaching staff.

Did you know?

Top Gun's co-founder, Victor Rosario, invented the kick full and kick double basket toss back in 1997.

The iconic skill is seen now in almost every Level 5 routine that hits the mat and you can guarantee this skill was drilled to perfection by the teams at Camp Geneva.

With Camp Geneva 2018 in the books, Top Gun athletes are suited up and ready to take on whatever the new season brings.

Whether they are saving the world or simply just fight to save stunts, Top Gun is ready to bring it on the mat this year.
