Cheer Sport Sharks Take On Three Worlds Teams

We are only five days away from Feel The Power East 2019 and we’ve got some exciting teams taking the mat this weekend! Teams from all over the north will be making their way to Mississauga, Ontario, including the largest program in Canada.

Cheer Sport Sharks will be taking on the competition with three of their Worlds Teams; Copper Sharks, Sailfins and Smallfins!

Copper Sharks will be taking the floor as Cheer Sport Sharks first ever Non-Tumbling Worlds team. “So many athletes who have grown up through our program are finally being given the opportunity to earn a chance to compete on the Worlds stage,” said gym owner Ali Moffatt. “What an exciting thing for this team!”

The Ancaster location will also be debuting their very first Worlds team, Sailfins! This is a small but mighty group of athletes and they have high goals set for their first season. “As a first year team, their goal is also to get a bid so that they can experience everything that Worlds is all about.” Said Moffatt.

You might already be familiar with Smallfins from the Worlds stage in 2018. The team took the mat in the Medium Senior Level 5 division, but this season they’re taking on a new division in Large Senior Level 5! Moffatt says this team is taking on this new division with tons of talent and heart.

“They’re very excited to compete on the same stage as so many wonderful US teams that we all look up to in one of the most prestigious divisions,” said Moffatt. “And we are hoping to hit when it counts.”

Be sure to add Cheer Sport Sharks to the top of your watch list this weekend as their two new Worlds teams take the mat and as they bring back a familiar Worlds team that is taking on a new division. We can't wait to watch these teams take the stage at The Cheerleading Worlds 2019!
