The Large Coed Lineup: What To Expect At Worlds

The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2019 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on the Worlds mat!

FloCheer is going to break down all 22 divisions so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida.

Senior Large Coed Level 5


Division History

Of the seven teams that hold bids in the Senior Large Coed 5 division, only three of them have claimed the top spot at The Cheerleading Worlds since 2012. While the division has less than 10 teams competing for the top spot, Large Coed continues to be one of the most anticipated divisions of the championship.

GOLD: Cheer Athletics Cheetahs

Cheetahs swept the Large Coed division at nearly every competition 2018. They held a consistent reign throughout the year taking titles at The Cheer Alliance, Spirit Celebration Nationals, The MAJORS and NCA All-Star Nationals.

With crispy clean elite stunts and baskets that reached the rafters, Cheer Athletics Cheetahs once again reigned supreme in the Senior Large Coed division.

SILVER: Top Gun All Stars TGLC

After a heartbreaking injury in Semi-Finals, Top Gun TGLC was forced to stop their routine. TGLC athlete Davi filled in for Charles and together the Miami team overcame adversity to hit a jaw-dropping routine that sent them into Finals in first place.

It was an emotional weekend for TGLC as they faced multiple challenges but the team fought till the very end to earn the silver medallions.

BRONZE: The Stingray Allstars Steel

Steel had one of the most iconic pyramid sections of The Cheerleading Worlds 2018 and their strong coed stunting skills earned them a spot on the podium and the bronze medallions.

Season Recap


Here’s a look back at some of the winners from the Level 5 Senior Large Coed division from some of this season's major events! Will these teams medal at The Cheerleading Worlds 2019? We can’t wait to watch these incredible teams take the Worlds mat!

Year after year, the Senior Large Coed division continues to be a crowd favorite and 2019 has been no different.

CHEERSPORT Nationals 2019

The Stingray Allstars Steel

After claiming their first ever Large Coed title at The MAJORS 2019, fans knew Steel was going to be one to watch in this exciting division. The Georgia team made a push this season to up their coed stunt skills and continued to push the boundaries with their pyramid choreography and the hard work paid off. 

Steel won first place at CHEERSPORT Nationals followed by TGLC in second and ACE Cheer Company Warriors in third.

NCA All-Star Nationals 2019

Top Gun All Stars TGLC

At NCA, TGLC was the only team in the division to hit a zero-deduction routine on Day 2. The Miami team's creative "Karate Kid" themed routine impressed the judges and fans in the Arena to win the championship title with a Final score of 98.5125.

Steel took home second place in Dallas followed by Cheer Athletics Cheetahs in third.

UCA International All-Star Championship 2019

Top Gun All Stars TGLC

Top Gun All Stars TGLC is known for performing championship worthy routines at UCA and they did just that in 2019. TGLC added in a few new props to their themed routine and claimed the top spot on Day 2 with a Final score of 98.4792.

ACE Warriors gave their best performances of the season at UCA and ended the weekend in second place with a score of 97.3584.

Semi-Finals for the L5 Senior Large Coed division will take place starting at 6:36 PM ET on Saturday, April 27th in The Arena.
