Velocity Dance -- Wolfpack Turns Silver Into Open Male Hip Hop Gold

The Open Male Hip Hop division is always a fan favorite, and these competitors delivered on that by bringing their best stuff to Orlando at The 2019 Dance Worlds. The division featured four extremely talented and exciting squads, and there was no clear frontrunner heading into the final round. It was an incredibly tight battle, and each team made a strong case for a top podium finish.

In the end, Velocity Dance – Wolfpack ended up snagging the gold medal. After finishing with silver last year, they brought everything but the kitchen sink to the floor, and it was enough to push them to the top. They featured all of the classic elements that built Hip Hop, but incorporated plenty of modern moves to keep it fresh. They also included plenty of tumbling and big tricks that helped land them gold. The best parts of their performance featured humorous moments that kept the whole routine light, fun, and memorable. These guys had all of the swag in Finals, and it propelled them from second in Prelims to the gold medal today.

Adrenaline Allstars – Rush Crew improved on their fourth-place finish from 2018 to bring home the silver medal. Their routine was strong, gritty, and hard-hitting from start to finish.

Tanz Regens representing for Ecuador also put on a great show to take home fourth place.

The Open Male Hip Hop teams brought everything they had, and kept this legendary division on the forefront of everybody’s minds. They were fun, they were edgy, and they were world-class. Congratulations to all of the competitors, especially your World Champions, Velocity Dance – Wolfpack!
