Don't Mess With The Dollhouse In Senior Large Hip Hop

Senior Large Hip Hop was shaping up to be an interesting battle from the moment The 2019 Dance Worlds began. There were so many teams in Orlando who had the goods to challenge for gold that it wasn’t clear who would be the frontrunner in this difficult division. Fourteen incredible teams began the journey in Prelims, and seven qualified for the Final round where we witnessed a stone-cold fight for the medals.

In 2018, Dollhouse Dance Factory finished with the bronze medal. This year, they came to The Dance Worlds with a mission, a mindset, and a routine to leave no doubt. Watching their championship routine was like watching a bunch of smooth-operating robots. The ladies of Hustle specialized in incredible isolation work, and they weren’t afraid to use that as their weapon to take down the competition. You could tell, just by watching, that they weren’t going to leave this year without bumping up two spots and taking what they wanted.

No stranger to the top five in this division, Pittsburgh Poison All Stars – Black Widows brought a good dose of get-down style Hip Hop mixed with some incredible tricks to finish in the silver position.

Champion Legacy, also a top-five finisher from 2018, secured the bronze with an incredibly fast paced routine filled to the brim with tumbling elements that wowed everyone.

Perennial Hip Hop powerhouse Legendary Athletics finished in fourth with a boss-girl swag, and Premier Athletics – Northern Kentucky – Onyx notched a fifth place finish with a ton of well-executed tricks. Rounding out the finalists were: Premier Athletics – Clayton – Scorpius, and Ultimate Dance & Cheer – Sapphire with excellent performances.

The ladies of Senior Large Hip Hop did not come to The 2019 Dance Worlds to play, and it worked out for everyone who got to witness the greatness. Congratulations to our medalists, especially the World Champion: Dollhouse Dance Factory!
