Meet The Team: Top Gun Double O
Top Gun Double O is definitely stacked with not only skill but with a group of hardworking individuals who have some amazing personalities.
The question on everybody’s mind is whether or not Top Gun OO5 will be keeping their name or changing it along with their recent level change.
With much deliberation and many different ideas thrown around, the International Open Large Coed level 6 team will be keeping their name as it is of too much significance to change. However, since the “5” isn’t the important part of their name, the coaches and athletes have chosen to also go by “Double O”, which is a name they’ve adopted in more recent years.
Now that we have confirmed what name they will be going by this year, we can take a closer look at what the team looks like this year.
Double O is definitely stacked with not only skill but with a group of hardworking individuals who have some amazing personalities.
“We strongly believe that hard work and good ethics will always overcome anyone with skill." - Coach Jose Gonzalez.
So far this summer, Double O has focused on breaking everything down to the basics; arm placements for jumps, approach for tumbling, etc. They are really trying to focus on getting everybody on the same level with the same goals. They have also been playing with a few ideas for their stunt sequence, but haven’t solidified anything just yet.
“Our goal this year is pretty much the same every year, which is to be better than we were the past season,” said Gonzalez.
Going into this season, Top Gun Double O is making their main focus to have a year that every athlete can walk away from knowing they did they pushed themselves to their limits and gave their best at every competition.
