East Jersey Elite Enters The Running For A Worlds Bid

The All Star world is growing this season and FloCheer is here to spread the word. East Jersey Elite out of Bayonne, New Jersey has introduced their very first Worlds team, CODE 6LACK!

East Jersey Elite’s Worlds dreams have been years in the making since the gym started as a recreation program in 2012. After the program began to be successful in the rec divisions, East Jersey Elite’s owners, Carla and Chelsea Aceti, made the decision to take on All Star in 2018.

Over the past two years, EJE has set their sights high and crushed through each goal they’ve set for themselves.

When the gym set a goal for attending The Summit, four out of five eligible teams received bids and made the trip to Orlando. At The Summit, their goal was to make Finals, 3 of their teams did that, and their Medium Coed Level 4 advanced on to Finals with a 99.0!

Since conquering the climb at The Summit, East Jersey Elite has chosen to take on The Cheerleading Worlds with their new team in the International Open Coed Non Tumbling L6 division.

“We decided to create something we all have dreamed about.”

“It is very exciting, this team came to be because of all the original people who started off in 4th grade at the elementary school and helped create the recreation team, all graduated and now obviously miss being with their second family, because that’s what we are a family,” shared East Jersey Elite athlete & coach, Kamil Mickiewicz.

Mickiewicz told FloCheer that CODE 6LACK is full of strong leaders that are determined to work together for a successful season.

East Jersey Elite is accomplishing all of their goals and the staff is excited for the growth in elite athletes within their small gym.

“We are so excited, we hope to one day have a Senior Level 6, and with the talent our Youth and Junior aged athletes have, it is possible! So, who knows in a few years maybe you will see us in a division you never thought you would see us in!”

The team plans to stay local for most of their event season as they work to earn their bid to Worlds but they hope to travel to Dallas, Texas in February to compete at NCA All-Star Nationals 2020.
