Hanover Elite Introduces Their First Worlds Team, Flex

In just their fifth season as a program, Hanover Elite Cheer from Hanover, Pennsylvania, is introducing a new team that hopes to make it to The Cheerleading Worlds 2020.

Hanover Elite Flex is all set to compete in the Senior Open Small Coed Level 6 division with four male athletes and 17 female athletes. The growing program has also added a Junior Level 6 and a Mini Level 2 team this year.

In 2015, when the gym opened, Hanover Elite only had 15 athletes, but the program has continued to grow in numbers and talent every year. In their fifth season, they now have 10 teams including their CheerAbilities team, Sapphires!

Last season, the program had a goal to take all five of their eligible teams to The D2 Summit. The program went on to claim two Paid Bids, two At-Large Bids and one Wild Card Bid. Four of the teams made it to Finals and two teams finished their season with top five placements!

2019 was an incredible year for the Pennsylvania gym and we predict that 2020 is going to be even better.

With a Worlds level team added to their roster, Hanover Elite’s owner, Chris Topper, is excited about the growth of talent within his gym. A large majority of the athletes on Flex moved up from Hanover Elite’s Restricted 5 team, Code Red.

“We’re very excited for this season not only for Flex but all teams at HEC. We had a great year last year and we want to continually grow as a program.”

Entering a Worlds division is an exciting milestone for any All Star program and Flex is working hard to make their debut memorable.

When asked about their routine, Topper told us we can expect “lots of energy with great running tumbling and very exciting pyramid.”

The athletes of Hanover Elite Flex have their sights set on a bid to The Cheerleading Worlds 2020 but Topper’s overall goal for the team is that each individual athlete becomes the best teammate that they can be to each other.

Hanover Elite Flex is dreaming for a bid to Worlds and they hope to earn that bid this February at CHEERSPORT Nationals. We will check back in with the team in Atlanta to bring you an inside look at how their first season in the Level 6 division is unfolding.
