We have been reminiscing on the 2019-2020 season all summer long and we wanted to take a moment to recognize some of the talented D2 programs that made a big impact on the cheer community this year.

Check out 5 small gyms that made 2020 one of their best seasons yet!

Southern Athletics

Pearl, MS

Southern Athletics brought three teams to NCA All-Star Nationals and the small gym showed out! Punches won the L3 Junior D2 division with a score of 97.4458 and PRIDE5 claimed the top spot in the L5 Senior Coed D2 division with a final score 96.8917.

To top off their impressive weekend in Dallas, the gym's L4.2 Senior Small D2 team, Platinum, jumped from 8th place on Day 1 to finish in third place with a final score of 96.8625!

All 4 Cheer

Frisco, TX

All 4 Cheer was cruising through the season claiming multiple bids to The D2 Summit! Two teams, 5 Alarm and Phoenix, claimed Full Paid Bids!

All 4 Cheer brought four teams to NCA All-Star Nationals and two teams, Ember and Lady Lava, both won an NCA National Championship titles! Heat and 5 Alarm finished strong claiming second place in their divisions.

Quest Athletics 

Pine Bush, NY

Over their last four seasons, Quest Athletics has earned more than 30 National titles and the 2020 season was one of their best yet. Bomb Squad and Generals both claimed Full Paid Bids to The D2 Summit. Generals also earned a national championship title in the L2 Junior Small D2 division at NCA All-Star!

Their World's team, Black Ops, finished 10th in the Senior XSmall Coed division in the 2020 USASF Cheerleading Worlds Divisions Points Championship! 

Cheer-riffic Techniques

San Antonio, TX

It may just seem like three simple routines, but earning the title of Varsity All Star Triple Crown is an accomplishment that takes a season of hard work and focus. 

Cheer-riffic Techniques Talons made history winning the Triple Crown in the L4 Senior Coed D2 division! They were also the only D2 gym to win the Varsity All Star Triple Crown in 2020.

Spirit Evolution

Eagle Pass, Texas

Spirit Evolution is a gym that is passionate about their athletes and growing All Star cheer and dance. Located in Eagle Pass, Texas, this thriving small gym is the most competitive cheerleading program in the area; drawing in skilled athletes from Del Rio, Uvalde, Carizzo Springs, and surrounding areas.

The gym's L2 Junior Small team, Team STRIKE, made history earning their gym's first-ever bid to The D2 Summit!
