FloCheer spent the past weekend hanging out in the midwest with some of the nation's top all star dance teams at the 2022 WSA South Dakota.

We saw some incredible dance performances from teams who traveled to Sioux Falls from all across South Dakota and Minnesota. From Hip Hop to Jazz...we saw it all!

The largest division at the event was the Youth Solo division with 29 competitors! Congrats to Ashley J. from 5678! Dance Studio who placed first in this extremely competitive division of 29 dancers.

The next largest division was the Mini Solo division. This Mini division had 21 competitors and they were all adorably awesome performers! What an incredible Jazz performance from Lauren P. from Dynamic Dance. She earned the top spot against 20 other competitors!

The Pom division is always so fun to watch with all the visuals and eye-catching illusions these teams created with their level changes and fast-paced formation changes. Champion Legacy Dance Academy Small Senior Pom routine was a show stopper for everyone in the audience!

The Jazz division showcased some amazing techniques and beautiful turns throughout this category. 5678! Dance Studio showcased exquisite lines in their Small Senior Jazz/Lyrical routine. Every movement was beautifully executed by each athlete.

We all love to watch the Hip Hop division! This is everyone’s favorite with high-energy routines and fun tricks in each performance. Ultimate Dance & Cheer's Youth Hip Hop team stole the show with their outstanding performance. They beat out 3 other Youth Hip Hop teams for the number one spot!

With all their high energy and intense skills, they all were very entertaining to watch! These programs will represent WSA very well at The Dance Worlds in April. Everyone make sure to keep an eye out for them for the rest of the season.

Congratulations to all the amazing programs for their dedication and commitment to this sport. It truly was showcased on the competition floor how much time and effort each program puts toward these events. It was a great competition and we look forward to next year!
