The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on The Cheerleading Worlds mat!

The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 Bid Recipients will be heading to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on April 23-25th and FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida. 

L6 Senior Small


Division History

The L6 Senior Small is always a fan favorite as the female-powered division is packed with talent. With a max of 22 athletes on the floor at a time, the pressure is on and there's no room for mistakes if you want to take home the championship title.

In 2021, the Level 6 Senior Small division had 16 teams set to take the floor at The Cheerleading Worlds with hopes of making it onto the podium. Cheer Extreme - SSX took home gold in 2021 as well as in 2019, 2018, and 2016. ICE Lady Lightning took silver in 2021 after taking gold in 2017 and 2014.

The competition will once again be fierce in the Level 6 Senior Small Division, 16 all girl teams will battle for the globe in 2022.

Gold: Cheer Extreme - Raleigh - SSX

Final Score: 139.65

Cheer Extreme Raleigh SSX had an incredible year in 2021. The L6 Senior Small team won the 2021 Varsity All Star Triple Crown and earned their third-straight World Championship title!

After scoring an impressive 139.65 to secure their win at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021, SSX is back for their sixteenth season to defend their title. The North Carolina powerhouse team is competing for their fourth-straight World Championship title and SSX is sure to put up a shark-style fight to defend their division thrown this spring.

Silver: ICE - Lady Lightning

Final Score: 134.05

ICE Lady Lightning started the year with a big win at The MAJORS and ended the year just as strong taking home the silver medals at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021 with a Final score of 134.05! 

2021 was a special season for Lady Lightning as they decided to perform a very special themed routine to pay tribute to all the healthcare workers that were on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic. 


Bronze: The California All Stars - Lady Bullets

Final Score: 133.45

The California All Stars Lady Bullets earned a 133.45 to claim the bronze medals at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021. Over the last few years, the Lady Bullets have consistently performed well at The Cheerleading Worlds earning a spot on the podium with back-to-back third-place finishes in 2019 and 2018.

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals

GymTyme All-Stars - Rouge

GymTyme All-Stars - Rouge started the new year strong and topped the competition in Indianapolis with a Final score of 92.8625. FAME All Stars Envy claimed the second-place spot followed by Maryland Twisters Blackout in third and Luxe Cheer Lady Legends in fourth.

CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship

Cheer Extreme - Raleigh - SSX

SSX is celebrating a sweet season and has been on top of their game since winning the 2022 CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship with a 96.3958. GymTyme All-Stars Rouge took second in Atlanta followed by Maryland Twisters Blackout in third.

NCA All-Star National Championship

ICE - Lady Lightning

These ladies proved they need no introduction at the 2022 NCA All-Star National Championship! The team rose from second place on Day 1 behind Cheer Extreme SSX to finish with a 96.95 and win their second NCA All-Star Championship title and coveted leather jackets.

SSX finished the weekend in second with a Final score of 96.2833 followed by the hit-queens, Rain Athletics Aqua, in third.

UCA International All Star Championship

Cheer Extreme - Raleigh - SSX

Three of the top teams in the L6 Senior Small division made the trip to Orlando, Florida to battle it out for the top spot at the 2022 UCA International All Star Championship

The Sharks showed up strong at UCA hitting back-to-back zero deduction routines and secured a big win with a final score of 97.75. ICE Lady Lightning finished the weekend in second with a Final score of 96.3375 followed by KC Cheer FEARLESS in third with a final score of 90.2333.

USA All Star Anaheim Super Nationals

The California All Stars - San Marcos -  Lady Bullets

The California All Stars San Marcos Lady Bullets dominated the competition on the west coast as they secured first place at the 2022 USA All Star Anaheim Super Nationals. USA Starz Vanity claimed second place at the event with a final score of 90.95.


Semi-Finals for the Level 6 Senior Small division will take place on April 23rd and your 2022 L6 Senior Small Champions will be crowned in Finals on Sunday, April 24th. Who will take home the Level 6 Senior Small title in 2022? Be sure to watch these teams take the floor LIVE only on FloCheer!
