L6 Senior XSmall Coed: Will Diamonds Win Their First Title?

The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on The Cheerleading Worlds mat!

FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida.

L6 Senior XSmall Coed


Division History

The exciting division featuring teams with up to 16 athletes on the mat at a time including 1-2 males, was introduced back in 2018 and University Cheer Force Firestorm was crowned the first-ever L6 Senior XSmall Coed World Champions.

Since that inaugural year, teams have been bringing their A-game in hopes of taking home a world championship title.

In 2021, Gymtyme Illinois Fever went back-to-back taking home gold. Twist & Shout Tulsa Diamonds took home silver while the Upper Merion All Stars Royals secured their spot on the podium winning the bronze medallions. 

These teams and more are heading to Florida to battle it out for another year in hopes of becoming your 2022 L6 Senior XSmall Coed World Champions.

GOLD: GymTyme Illinois - Fever

Final Score: 144.25 

GymTyme Illinois Fever has been a top contender since 2019 taking home their first World Championship in the L6 Senior XSmall Coed division! They went back-to-back in 2021 securing the top spot with their fierce technique and strong stunts! 

Will GymTyme Fever have what it takes for a 3-peat in 2022?

SILVER: Twist & Shout - Tulsa - Diamonds

 Final Score: 140

The Diamonds from Twist & Shout are always a crowd favorite. They bring excitement and fun when they hit the stage and are a group of talented performers! 

This team has been on a roll this season and just became your 2022 Varsity All Star Triple Crown Champions! Will they secure the top spot this year at The Cheerleading Worlds and take home their first-ever World Championship title?

BRONZE: Upper Merion All Stars - Royals

Final Score: 138.75

In 2021, Upper Merion All Stars secured their spot on the podium in third place. This was the first time they had ever made it to Finals in the competitive division and they made history by bringing home their first-ever globe! 

We can’t wait to see what this team has in store for us this year!

2021 - 2022 Season Recap

Here’s a look back at some of the winners from the Level 6 Senior XSmall Coed division from this season's major events! Will these teams medal at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022? We can’t wait to watch these incredible teams take the Worlds floor!

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals

CheerVille Athletics - Anarchy

 At JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals, CheerVille Athletics HV Anarchy scored a 95.4167 earning them the top spot! This team really made a name for themselves after placing second in the division at The Cheerleading Worlds 2019 and we can’t wait to see what they bring to Orlando this year. 

Rain Athletics Downpour took home second in Indy followed by Cheer Extreme Raleigh Cougar Coed in third. 

CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship

Twist & Shout - Diamonds

After hitting two beautiful zero deduction routines, Twist & Shout Diamonds from Tulsa, Oklahoma, took home first place in Atlanta with a final score of 96.65. Diamonds once again wowed the crowd with their creative choreography, powerful tumbling, and strong elite stunt section! 

Raglan Coast Cheer Steel 6 took home second while Cheer Athletics Austin OnyxCats took home third. 

NCA All-Star National Championship

Twist & Shout - Diamonds

13 teams competed in the L6 Senior XSmall Coed division at NCA All-Star and fans got a good look at what we will be seeing at The Cheerleading Worlds in just a few short weeks. Diamonds are on a roll this year taking home another championship title and topping off the division with a final score of 94.6333. 

Central Jersey All Stars Team Gunz and CheerVille Athletics Anarchy tied for second with a 94.0667. 

UCA International All Star Championship

Twist & Shout - Diamonds 

Twist & Shout Diamonds took home another big win at the 2022 UCA International All Star Championship with a final score of 96.85 making them your 2022 Varsity All Star Triple Crown Champions! This team has always been a fierce competitor and this year they are making it known. 

Coming in second was ICE Thunder with. a final score of 93.7833 and the Upper Merion All Stars Royals finished in third with a score of 92.6292.

Prelims for the Level 6 Senior XSmall Coed division will take place on April 23rd followed by Semi-Finals on Sunday and Finals wrapping up the competition on Monday, April 25th.
