The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on The Cheerleading Worlds mat!

FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida.

L6 Senior Medium 

Division History

The L6 Senior Medium division is always fierce and one to keep an eye on as you prepare to tune in to watch The Cheerleading Worlds this April.

Over the last decade, only three programs have won the prestigious division title more than once. The Top Gun All Stars Lady Jags were the first to do it followed by East Celebrity Elite Bombshells, and as of last season, The Stingray Allstars Peach.

This year, eleven incredible teams from nine different states will represent the L6 Senior Medium division and compete for the world championship title. This division is intense and continues to get more competitive each year. We can hardly wait to see these teams take the stage at The Cheerleading Worlds!

The Cheerleading Worlds 2021 Results

GOLD: The Stingrays Allstars - Peach 

Final Score: 144.15

In 2021, the nerves were strong as every team wanted to give their best routine when making their return to The Cheerleading Worlds after a year away. Every Senior Medium team received deductions in Semi-Finals but after getting the jitters out on Day 1, teams brought their A-game to the floor in Finals. The top three teams all hit zero-deduction routines in Finals to secure their spot on the podium!

The Stingray Allstars Peach laid it all on the mat to come out on top at The Cheerleading Worlds to become the 2021 Senior Medium Cheerleading World Champions! Peach held the top spot in the division through both rounds of the competition and the Georgia team displayed an incredibly difficult routine that got the crowd on their feet after their hard-hitting zero-deduction performance in Finals.

SILVER: Woodlands Elite - OR - Generals

Final Score: 139.85

The Generals from Woodlands Elie took home second at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021 and globed for the first time in the L6 Senior Medium division. The Texas team is known for their difficulty and the Generals showcased a variety of stunts and strong tumbling! They entertained the crowd with their transitions and flawless skills scoring a 139.85.

BRONZE: Top Gun All Stars Lady Jags

Final Score: 139.15

The Top Gun All Stars Lady Jags moved up from fourth place in Semi-Finals to secure the third-place spot on the podium in 2021. Their fast-paced routine kept the crowd engaged as the Lady Jags put their hearts out on the floor in Finals.

The Miami team scored a 139.15 and they are hungry this year to take back the top spot and earn their third L6 Senior Medium World Championship title.

2021 - 2022 Season Recap

Here’s a look back at some of the winners from the Level 6 Senior Medium division from this season's major events! Will these teams medal at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022? We can’t wait to watch these incredible teams take the Worlds floor!

The MAJORS 

Woodlands Elite - OR - Generals

The Woodlands Elite Generals took the top spot at The MAJORS 2022 scoring a 92.9. Coming in second behind the generals are The Stingray Allstars Peach who scored a 90.16. 

Could the Woodlands Elite Generals continue to improve on their 2021 finish and take home the gold at this year's World Championship?

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals

The Stingray All Stars - Blue Angels

The Blue Angels are a new face in the L6 Senior Medium division and they made their name known as they hit a zero-deduction on Day 2 of the 2022 JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals to claim the top spot in the division with a Final score of 90.8709.

CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship

The Stingrays Allstars - Peach

At CHEERSPORT, seven outstanding programs took the floor to put on a show in the L6 Senior Medium division. The Peach Rays from The Stingrays Allstars held on to the top spot on both days and wrapped up their weekend in Atlanta with a Final score of 95.1084 and a set of CHEERSPORT National Championship jackets! 

Finishing the weekend in second place, Maryland Twisters F5 had a huge Day 2 performance scoring a 94.1417 to climb up the ranks from 6th place on Day 1! Rounding out the top three, the Lady Jags from Top Gun All Stars finished in third with a 93.8709.

NCA All-Star National Championship

Woodlands Elite - OR - Generals

Back on top for the second year in a row, Woodlands Elite Generals wrapped up a big weekend in Dallas with a zero-deduction routine on Day 2 to claim the championship title with a Final score of 97! Woodlands Elite as a program had a major weekend at NCA All-Star with Generals and Black Ops sweeping the L6 Senior Medium divisions.

The Stingray Allstars Peach took second at NCA with a score of 96.4667 followed by Top Gun Lady Jags in third.

UCA International All Star Championship

Top Gun All Stars - Lady Jags

Top Gun All Stars Lady Jags took home first in their home state of Florida at the 2022 UCA International All Star Championship. The team wowed the crowd with their performance and we can't wait to see LJ bring the same enthusiasm and drive to The Cheerleading Worlds. Coming in second behind the Lady Jags was the World Cup Suns with a 91.7625. 

Semi-Finals for the Level 6 Senior Medium division will take place on April 23rd followed by Finals on Sunday, April 24th. Who will take home the Level 6 Senior Medium title in 2022? Be sure to watch these teams take the floor LIVE only on FloCheer!
