The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on The Cheerleading Worlds mat!

FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida.

L6 Senior Open Small Coed


Division History

The L6 Senior Open Small Coed division was introduced to The Cheerleading Worlds in 2019. The Beatles from Rockstar Cheer made history as the first World Champions in this exciting division and in 2021, Beatles went back-to-back taking home gold once again!

In the L6 Senior Open Small Coed division, teams are allowed to have up to 24 athletes on the mat, ages 13 and up and their rosters can include 1-4 male athletes.

In 2021, 24 teams competed in Semi-Finals for the division. This season, 58 teams received bids to The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 in the L6 Senior Open Small Coed division.

GOLD: Rockstar Cheer - Beatles 

Final Score: 139.45

The Beatles from Rockstar went back-to-back in the L6 Senior Open Small Coed division scoring a 139.45 to take the gold. The team put on a show with their fast-paced, jam-packed routine. The Beatles made sure they hit on all cylinders of the score sheet which ultimately made them your 2021 Cheerleading World Champions.

SILVER: The Stingray Allstars - Electric

Final Score: 125.55

The Stingray Allstars Electric scored a 135.55 in 2021 and took home the silver medallions adding yet another globe to the trophy case at The Stingray Allstars - Marietta gym. They wow'd the audience with their clean skills, big energy, and intense choreography and were top contenders all season heading into the championship.

BRONZE: Cheerville Athletics - HV - Anarchy 

Final Score: 131.8

Anarchy from Cheerville Athletics put themselves in the top three with confidence and enthusiasm throughout their entire routine. Their routine was full of difficult skills and scored a 131.8 to claim the third-place spot.

2021 - 2022 Season Recap


Here’s a look back at some of the winners from the Level 6 Senior Open Small Coed division from this season's major events! Will these teams medal at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022? We can’t wait to watch these incredible teams take the Worlds floor! 

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals

Cheer Extreme - Raleigh - SMOEX

12 teams competed in the Level 6 Senior Open Small Coed division at JAMfest. Cheer Extreme SMOEX started their routine off strong with single-base stunts and lots of powerful standing tumbling. The crowd was wowed by their innovative choreography which ultimately put them in first place in the division on both days, ending the weekend with a final score of 95.5. 

Top Gun All Stars Angels went home with second place scoring a 93.6042 followed by the Cheer Athletics Pittsburgh SteelCats who took third with a final score of 93.2917. 

CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship

Cheer Extreme - Raleigh - SMOEX

After moving out of the L6 Senior Medium Coed division, SMOEX is taking the L6 Senior Open Small Coed division by storm! They scored a 96.75 making them your 2022 CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Champions. 

Following SMOEX was Top Gun All Stars TGOC scoring a 94.416 and coming in third was Smoke from Brandon All-Stars who scored a 94.17.

NCA All-Star National Championship

Brandon All-Stars - Smoke

Smoke from Brandon All-Stars started their routine off with high-flying baskets followed by a jam-packed opening tumbling section. Smoke kept the crowd in their seat and wanting more making them your 2022 NCA All-Star Nationals Champions and winners of the coveted black jacket scoring a 97.1167! 

Cheer Extreme SMOEX kept near the top of the division claiming second with a final score of 96.6 and Cheer Athletics CoAsT from Pensacola rounded out the winners circle scoring a 95.6667.

UCA International All Star Championship

Brandon All Stars - Smoke

This season, the L6 Senior Open Small Coed division turned out to be the battle between SMOEX and Smoke.

At UCA, Smoke from Brandon All-Stars took home first place in their home state of Florida! The team hit zero on Day 2 and kept the crowd loud and on their feet for the whole 2 minutes and 30 seconds of their routine. The team scored a 97.8375 followed by SMOEX who was close on their heels scoring a 97.6875 and coming in third were the Angels from Top Gun All Stars with a 95.6375. 


Prelims for the Level 6 Senior Open Small Coed division will take place on April 23rd followed by Semi-Finals on Sunday and Finals wrapping up the competition on Monday, April 25th.
