The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on the Worlds mat!

The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 Bid Recipients will be heading to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on April 23-25th and FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida. 

L6 Senior Open Large Coed


Division History

Since its introduction in 2019, the L6 Senior Open Large Coed division has been one to watch! With a max of 24 athletes on the floor at a time and 5-12 males, the routines will all be incredible yet only one team will take home the championship title.

In 2021, the Level 6 Senior Open Large Coed division had 20 teams take the floor at The Cheerleading Worlds with hopes of making it onto the podium. Cheer Athletics Wildcats went back-to-back in the competitive division taking home their eighth World Championship title. Previously in the L6 International Open Large Coed division, Wildcats had dominated at The Cheerleading Worlds since their first three-peat win in 2009-2011. Wildcats continued on securing first place spots in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2021. 

The competition in the Level 6 Senior Open Large Coed division will be extraordinary this month when 18 coed teams battle for the globe in 2022.

GOLD: Cheer Athletics - Wildcats

Final Score: 146.3

Cheer Athletics Wildcats had an incredible year in 2021 ending the season in a familiar first-place. 

After hitting zero in Finals and scoring an impressive 146.3 to secure their win at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021, Wildcats got right back to work. Starting their season early and strong the Texas team earned a Paid Bid at Spirit Celebration back in December to ensure they will be back to defend their division thrown this April. 


SILVER: The California All Stars - Cali Coed

Final Score: 139.4

The California All Stars - San Marcos - Cali Coed ended the year taking home the silver medals at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021 with a Final score of 139.4! Cali Coed captured the attention of everyone in 2021 with their electric choreography and showmanship.

The team will be back this year after earning a Paid Bid at Spirit Sports in February.


BRONZE: Uknight Training Center - Royals

Final Score: 128.35

Uknight Training Center Royals earned the bronze medals at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021. The team took to the division of 20 teams at The Cheerleading Worlds claiming the final spot on the podium.

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals

Top Gun All Stars - Revelation

Top Gun All Stars Revelation kick-started the new year with two incredible performances at the 2022 JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. Revelation's show-stopping zero-deduction performance on Day 2 earned them the top spot with a final score of 96.6917.

Cheer Athletics Columbus ZeusCats took second in the division followed by Cheer Extreme Chicago Passion in third.

CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship

The California All Stars - San Marcos - Cali Coed

Cali Coed from the San Marcos location of The California All Stars started their season strong winning the 2022 CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship with a 95.4083. 

Core Athletix Black Diamonds took second in Atlanta followed by Macs Allstar Cheer Legacy in third.

NCA All-Star National Championship

Top Gun All Stars - Revelation

After taking the International Open Small Coed silver medals at The Cheerleading World last season, Revelation moved into the L6 Senior Open Large Coed Division and has proved to be a top contenders competition after competition. At the 2022 NCA All-Star National Championship, the team kept their winning streak alive scoring a 98.15 to claim the division title.

Cali Coed finished the weekend in second with a final score of 96.2667 followed by the reigning champions, Cheer Athletics Wildcats, in third.

UCA International All Star Championship

Top Gun All Stars - Revelation

Continuing on their undefeated season, the next stop for Revelation was Orlando, Florida, to compete at the 2022 UCA International All Star Championship.

Top Gun Revelation showed up strong at UCA hitting two impressive routines and taking the title with a final score of 97.6166. This team is on a roll and we are ready to watch this team fight for first at The Cheerleading Worlds.


Semi-Finals for the Level 6 Senior Open Large Coed division will take place on April 24th and your 2022 L6 Senior Open Large Coed World Champions will be crowned in Finals on Monday, April 25th.
