Traditional Cheer Meets All Star In The L6 Int.Global Division

The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on The Cheerleading Worlds mat!

FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida.

L6 International Global

Division History

The L6 International Global is one of the most anticipated divisions of the season. Including poms and signs, this division gives a traditional college feel to the all star world. These routines align with the ICU format and 30-40 seconds of it consist of a cheer followed by the normal two-minute and thirty-second routine!

In 2019, Flyers Knockout from Canada took home first in this division and really grabbed the attention of the audience with their spirited cheer! Because of the pandemic and the travel restrictions in place for many of the teams in the Global divisions, only U.S. teams could compete at The Cheerleading Worlds 2021. Cheer Athletics LADYCATS became the 2021 World Champions and took home the gold back to Plano, TX!

The Cheerleading Worlds 2021 Results

GOLD: Cheer Athletics - Plano - LADYCATS

Final Score: 125.1

In 2021, the LADYCATS went into Finals in the second place spot but after a successful Day 2 performance the team took home the gold with a score of 125.1. The team started off strong with their sign work in the cheer and carried that energy into the music portion of their routine.

Will the LADYCATS be back-to-back World Champions in 2022 or will there be a new champion in the L6 International Global division?
