Get ready for the most exciting event of the season. The Dance Worlds 2022 is almost here and we are on the edge of our seats waiting for the most talented teams to take the stage! 

FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Dance Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida. Let's dig into all the details of the Open Elite and Open Coed Elite Hip Hop divisions!

Open Elite & Open Coed Elite Hip Hop


Division History

The Dance Worlds hosts the most entertaining Hip Hop teams from around the world. The world of competitive Hip Hop incorporates authentic street style-influenced movements with a style and groove like no other division!

In this style of dance impeccable technique, synchronization, uniformity, and spacing are imperative. The dance teams in the Hip Hop division emphasize musicality, staging, and complexity in motions and tricks to put on a dynamic 1:45-2:15 minute routine. You can tell that you’re watching a championship Hip Hop routine when the teams take the stage in costumes styled to highlight their athleticism and individuality of choreography.

The 6-15 athletes are allowed to be on the stage at a time in the Open Elite Hip Hop divisions featuring athletes 14 years and older. There will be a number of teams competing in the Open Elite and Open Coed Elite Hip Hop divisions at The Dance Worlds 2022, so get ready for all of the fun and exciting pom action!

In 2021, Footnotes Fusion dominated taking the top score in every judging category to secure gold in Open Elite Hip Hop. Next Level Dance Company made history claiming gold in the Open Coed Elite Hip Hop division.

This year, 14 teams will battle for the Open Elite Hip Hop title while 13 teams dance for gold in Open Coed Elite Hip Hop.

GOLD: Footnotes Fusion - Priority

Final Score: 93.6

Footnotes Fusion made it a priority to succeed at The Dance Worlds 2022 and did just that! Priority took home gold in the Open Elite Hip Hop competition with a 93.6. Footnotes Fusion previously took third in the division at The Dance Worlds 2021.. 

The team's execution was exemplary scoring a massive 9.3 in the category. Footnotes Fusions' attention to detail within the musicality of the routine set the champions apart from the rest of the competition.

This season, the team put together an amazing routine and earned a bid to The Dance Worlds 2022 with their strong performance at the Golden State Spirit Association. The team will be back on stage at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in hopes of going back-to-back in this competitive division of 14 teams!


SILVER: Adrenaline Allstars - RAGE

Final Score: 91.4

Adrenaline Allstars RAGE took home the Open Elite Hip Hop silver medals with a final score of 91.4. RAGE stood out in their bright cargo pant and crop top costumes giving their performance the exact Hip Hop look everyone loves to see! 

This year at the Cheer and Dance Extreme the team earned their Partial-Paid Bid back to The Dance Worlds 2022!


BRONZE: Dollhouse Dance Factory - Interstellar

Final Score: 89.1

Taking the final spot on the podium was the Dollhouse Dance Factory scoring an 89.1 to earn the Open Elite Hip Hop bronze medals. Their Interstellar-themed routine showcased robotic movements with elaborate costumes that captivated the audience! 

In 2019, Dollhouse Dance Factory won the Open Elite Hip Hop division and they are hoping their Villan-themed routine is exactly what they need to bring them back to the top of the podium this season.

The Dance Worlds 2021 Results

  • Open Coed Elite Hip Hop

GOLD: Next Level Dance Co - Supremacy

Final Score: 89

Supremacy scored an 89 to secure the top spot in the Open Coed Elite Hip Hop division and claim their third set of gold medals at The Dance Worlds 2021! This season, the team put together an amazing routine and earned a bid back to the championship with their powerful performance at the Great Lakes Cheer and Dance Championship.

Next Level Dance Co. will be back on stage at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in hopes of going back-to-back in this competitive division of 13 teams!


SILVER: Footnotes Fusion - Take Off

Final Score: 86

Footnotes Fusion had a spectacular end to their 2020-2021 season. The program ended the season by holding two Open Hip Hop globes with Take Off taking second!  Take Off, Footnotes Fusion's Open Coed Elite team really got creative with their costuming taking the stage in a bright blue streetwear look. The team's technical execution and movement through shapes while maintaining their spacing earned them a final score of 86 and the silver medals! 


BRONZE: Pittsburgh Poison All Stars - Open Elite

Final Score: 83.4

Securing the bronze medals was Pittsburg Poison with a final score of 83.4. The program is no stranger to championship success, Pittsburgh Poison has secured 21 top-three finishes throughout its years at The Dance Worlds!

Open Elite Hip Hop: Dollhouse Dance Factory - Villians

Dollhouse Dance Factory wowed the judges with their Villian-themed Open Elite Hip Hop routine taking the top spot at WSF! The team showcased strong movements throughout their routine to add to the villainous aura on the stage.

JAMfest Dance Super Nationals

Open Elite Hip Hop: Dollhouse Dance Factory - Villians

At the 2022 JAMfest Dance Super Nationals in Kentucky, fans got a good look at what we will be seeing at The Dance Worlds 2022. Dollhouse Dance Factory once again topped the Open Elite Hip Hop competition with a final score of 91.1562. Starlites Dance Skippers Hip Hop took second in the division.

Open Coed Elite Hip HopStep One All Stars - Groovy

Step One All Stars is proving they are ready for The Dance Worlds 2022. Groovy topped the Open Coed Elite Hip Hop competition with a final score of 91.275. 


Semi-Finals for the Open Elite Hip Hop division will take place on April 23rd followed by Finals on Sunday, April 24th. The Semi-Finals for the Open Coed Elite Hip Hop division will begin on April 23rd with Finals concluding on Monday, April 25th.
