Which Teams Will Take Gold In Senior Contemporary/Lyrical?

The Senior Contemporary/Lyrical divisions are crowded with heavy hitters year after year, and 2022 is no different. Between the Small and Large divisions, there were almost eight hours of fabulous, world-class dance happening on Day 1 of The Dance Worlds. Some familiar names found themselves at the top of the scoreboard, with some incredibly strong performances right on their heels.

In the Senior Large Contemporary/Lyrical division, the top two teams from The Dance Worlds 2021 took first and second place, once again, heading into Finals. Dancin Bluebonnets and Dance Dynamics took the first and second places, respectively.

The margin between the two teams is razor-thin, meaning that it could be either team’s time to shine when Globes are on the line. The Bluebonnets have a slight score advantage after Semi-Finals, but when scores start over in Finals, anything can happen. It is their title to defend, and with the top score from today, it is theirs to lose.

Taking the third-best score of the day was Brookfield Dance Senior All Stars. They will be looking to fend off a trio of teams behind them who are all less than a point back. The Vision Dance Center, Star Steppers Dance, and Dance Precisions are all well within striking distance to earn a medal in Finals. Brookfield Dance will need to really bring the heat to make sure that they cannot be caught. Dancing with Roxie Prestige was also able to snag a qualifying spot for Finals, grabbing the 7th and final spot

The Bluebonnets are just off of the podium in 2021 in fourth, and they have worked their way back to this moment to challenge for the Gold. These two teams will need to give it their all to show that they belong on top ahead of their in-division rivals.

The Vision Dance Center earned the third-best position today, making them a proper threat for any medal in Finals. Dance Precisions, Music City All Stars, Power Worx Dance, and Power of Dance Are all right on their heels in places 4-7, respectively. Rounding out the top 10 are No Limits Dance, Innovate Dance Studio and Dance Precisions. The last spots into Finals were earned by Star Performance Centre, Fierce Factory Dance & Talent, Studio 22, 5678! Dance Studio, Dancing with Roxie, and Synergy Dance Academy. Most of these teams are no strangers to the top 10 at The Dance Worlds, so the experience levels should be quite high in Finals.

The Contemporary/Lyrical category is one that exudes the highest levels of emotion and expression through movement, which is why it’s so popular. It brings out the very most in the dancers, and it connects with the audience in a way other divisions can’t. Both the Senior Small and Large Contemporary/Lyrical showdowns should be epic in Finals, and absolutely worth the watch. Make sure to tune in and find out who takes home the Gold!
