Spirit Of Texas Royalty Claims 7th World Championship Title

For the first time since 2016, Spirit of Texas Royalty has come home with the GOLD in the Level 6 Senior Medium Coed division at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022. This is the 7th time in program history they have been announced World Champions for their combination of highly executed skills and confident energy.

The 2021-2022 season was different than in past years because of the closeness embraced within the team’s chemistry. The athletes knew exactly how to push each other in the most effective way, while also forming bonds on and off the mat. The constant laughter and liveliness during the practice environment helped them reach their goals overall.

Going into The Cheerleading Worlds 2022, Spirit of Texas Royalty truly felt united and eager to show off their top-notch routine. The composure going into the final day allowed for the team to take in every moment. Coaches Brett Hansen and Cami Branson describe the moment before they left the outcome in their athlete’s hands.

“We love you no matter what. Follow your heart, believe in yourselves, and most importantly have fun! Fight for that feeling and make this last performance a lifelong memory.”

After hearing their name called as the L6 Senior Medium Coed World Champions, Royalty was immersed with love and great sportsmanship from their other competitors. It is what truly made this moment so special - the friendships and camaraderie displayed by every other team.

Now, Spirit of Texas Royalty is beginning with a fresh slate as the new season begins. The team is ready to make their mark knowing no two teams are alike. They are only focused on creating goals for the future and making sure everyone is at their personal best.
