What Teams Will Globe in the Open Coed Jazz And Open Jazz Divisions?

The Dance Worlds is one of the most anticipated events of the season! Since the cancellation of The Dance Worlds 2020 was the first since the inaugural championship in 2007, teams have been patiently waiting to get to Worlds 2021 and so have we! 

Open Jazz and Open Coed Jazz has some of the fiercest competition making this division one you’ll surely want to keep your eyes out for! In 2019 Dance Factory Mexico took home Gold in the Open Coed Jazz division and in Open Jazz The Vision Dance Center showed us how grace can take you to the top spot making them the 2019 World Champions!

Division History

We are just hours away from the long-awaited The Dance Worlds 2021! While dancers did not get the chance to compete last year, they are more excited than ever to hit the World's stage just one year later! Teams from all over will be competing for a chance to be your new World Champion in the Open Coed Jazz division.

GOLD: Dance Factory Mexico

Dance Factory is not new to the Open Coed Jazz division! In 2019 Dance Factory Mexico became your two-time World Champions winning in 2018 and 2019. The group wowed us with their stunning choreography as well as their strength and ability to perform with high energy and intensity!

SILVER: Dancin’ Bluebonnets

In 2019, Dancin Bluebonnets showed us just how amazing they could be. They brought so much life into their routine that we couldn’t take our eyes off of them! This scored them the silver medal. This team had many breath taking moments in their 2019 routine and this year they are striving to take the top spot as your 2021 Open Coed Jazz World Champions!

BRONZE: Strut Performing Arts

Behind the Bluebonnets was Strut Performing Arts. They are known for their strong technique and they showed just that! In 2019 they put on a show which in turn earned them a podium spot.

Here’s a look back at the winners from the Open Coed Jazz Division from 2019’s major events! Will these top teams globe at The 2021 Dance Worlds? We are just as excited as they are to see the competition go down in Orlando, Florida!

2019 Encore Championships Houston 2019

Dancin Bluebonnets Open Coed Jazz

In 2019 at the Encore Championships Houston, Dancin Bluebonnets took home first place scoring a 90.05! A few competitions later the team received second at The Dance Worlds in 2019! The Bluebonnets have so much in store for us this season and we can’t wait to see what they and their competitors bring to the Worlds stage in 2021!

USA All Star Championships 2019

Strut Performing Arts Open

Strut Performing arts took home first place in the Jazz Coed division at the USA All Star Championships! This team took home third at The Dance Worlds 2019 and are coming back with a vengeance this year to hopefully take home the globe as your 2021 World champions!

GOLD: The Vision Dance Center

In 2019 The Vision Dance Center became World Champions in Open Jazz after placing third in 2018. Their routine was graceful and artistic. The team came through with athleticism throughout their whole routine and pushed the limits from section to section! They gave us precision in every movement so good you have to see it for yourself!

SILVER: Wing Dance Promotion Silver Wings 

Wing Dance Promotion Silver Wings from Japan finished a strong second place in 2019. The routine was jammed packed with elegant movements and flawless technique! Silver Wings had many different groups and continued to come back together as one.

BRONZE: Dancin’ Bluebonnets

The bronze medal went home with the Dancin’ Bluebonnets! They had an emotional performance that had us all at the edge of our seats.  Their tumbling elements keep the crow involved and the emotion they brought to the stage earned them a spot on the podium at worlds!

JAMfest: Dance Super Nationals 2021

Vision Dance Center

The Vision Dance Center took home first place at the JAMfest Dance Super Nationals! This competition gave us an inside look at what we will be seeing on stage for The Dance Worlds 2021. The Vision Dance Center took the top spot in their division with a 91.6. In 2019 they took home first at The Dance Worlds. There’s no doubt this team is ready to go back for a repeat and bring home the gold once again!

Dance Etc Inc took home second with a 90.75 while Starlites Dance took home 3rd with a 85.95. This division is definitely full of competition and we can’t wait to see who brings home the top three spots at Worlds!
