Oklahoma Baptist Sweeps Game 2 Over Maryville University

The 2021 College STUNT National Championship is off to a great start today in Shawnee, Oklahoma as the championship host faced off against Maryville University in Game 2.

This is Oklahoma Baptist University's sixth year doing STUNT and the Bisons looked liked seasoned vets as they took on their first game of the championship.

Maryville University put up a great fight but in the end, OBU swept Game 2 with a score of 18-0 at the 2021 College STUNT National Championship.

When asked about their strategy coming into the championship, Oklahoma Baptist University Head Coach Jessica Stiles said her team made lots of adjustments heading into the weekend.

"We're just trying to be better and do things better," shared Stiles. "Moving people into positions that might fit the team better and we really wanted to come out in this first game and experience those adjustments whether we got the point or didn't get the point and just get those on the mat. I'm really proud of what they started the weekend off with and what they are going to take and grow with."

The Bisons put their technique on display in Game 2 and they breezed through all four quarters against Maryville University. If you missed out on the action, you can re-watch Game 2 below!

When asked why she loves STUNT, Jessica Stiles says she loves that STUNT gives athletes the chance to compete several times in a game. She also mentioned that she loves that STUNT gives athletes the chance to come back from a bad round.
